The Gold Lampstand and the Two Olive Trees
4 Then the angel who talked with me returned and woke(A) me up, like someone awakened from sleep.(B) 2 He asked me, “What do you see?”(C)
I answered, “I see a solid gold lampstand(D) with a bowl at the top and seven lamps(E) on it, with seven channels to the lamps. 3 Also there are two olive trees(F) by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.”
4 I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”
5 He answered, “Do you not know what these are?”
“No, my lord,” I replied.(G)
6 So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:(H) ‘Not(I) by might nor by power,(J) but by my Spirit,’(K) says the Lord Almighty.
7 “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground.(L) Then he will bring out the capstone(M) to shouts(N) of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”
8 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 9 “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation(O) of this temple; his hands will also complete it.(P) Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me(Q) to you.
10 “Who dares despise the day(R) of small things,(S) since the seven eyes(T) of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone[a] in the hand of Zerubbabel?”(U)
11 Then I asked the angel, “What are these two olive trees(V) on the right and the left of the lampstand?”
12 Again I asked him, “What are these two olive branches beside the two gold pipes that pour out golden oil?”
13 He replied, “Do you not know what these are?”
“No, my lord,” I said.
14 So he said, “These are the two who are anointed(W) to[b] serve the Lord of all the earth.”

4 Volvió entonces el ángel que hablaba conmigo, y me despertó como se despierta a uno que está dormido. Me preguntó: 2 «¿Qué ves?» Y yo le contesté: «Veo un candelabro de oro, con un depósito de aceite encima. En lo alto tiene siete lámparas, a las que llega el aceite por siete tubos. 3 Junto al candelabro hay dos olivos, uno a su derecha y otro a su izquierda.»
4 Pregunté al ángel que hablaba conmigo: «Mi señor, ¿qué significa esto?» 5 El ángel me contestó: «¿No sabes lo que significa?» Yo le dije: «No, señor.»
6 Y él continuó: «Éste es el mensaje del Señor para Zorobabel: “No depende del ejército, ni de la fuerza, sino de mi Espíritu, dice el Señor todopoderoso. 7 ¿Quién eres tú, gran montaña? ¡Quedarás convertida en llanura delante de Zorobabel! Él sacará la piedra principal, mientras grita la gente: ¡Qué hermosa es! ¡Qué hermosa!”»
8 Después me dio el Señor otro mensaje: 9 «Zorobabel ha puesto los cimientos de este templo, y él mismo será quien lo termine.» Así reconocerán ustedes que fue el Señor todopoderoso quien me envió. 10 «Aquellos que no tomaron en serio los pequeños comienzos, ahora se alegrarán viendo a Zorobabel terminar las obras.»
Después de esto, el ángel añadió: «Estas siete lámparas son los ojos del Señor, que están recorriendo toda la tierra.»
11 Yo le pregunté: «¿Qué son esos dos olivos, uno a cada lado del candelabro?» 12 También le pregunté: «¿Y qué significan esas dos ramas de olivo que están junto a los tubos de oro por donde llega el aceite a las lámparas?» 13 El ángel me respondió: «¿No sabes lo que significan?» Le dije: «No, señor.»
14 Y él me contestó: «Éstos son los dos que han sido consagrados para el servicio del Señor de toda la tierra.»

Vision of the Lampstand and Olive Trees
4 Now (A)the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, (B)as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. 2 And he said to me, “What do you see?”
So I said, “I am looking, and there is (C)a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, (D)and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. 3 (E)Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left.” 4 So I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”
5 Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, “Do you not know what these are?”
And I said, “No, my lord.”
6 So he answered and said to me:
“This is the word of the Lord to (F)Zerubbabel:
(G)‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the Lord of hosts.
7 ‘Who are you, (H)O great mountain?
Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain!
And he shall bring forth (I)the capstone
(J)With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” ’ ”
8 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
9 “The hands of Zerubbabel
(K)Have laid the foundation of this [a]temple;
His hands (L)shall also finish it.
Then (M)you will know
That the (N)Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.
10 For who has despised the day of (O)small things?
For these seven rejoice to see
The [b]plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.
(P)They are the eyes of the Lord,
Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”
11 Then I answered and said to him, “What are these (Q)two olive trees—at the right of the lampstand and at its left?” 12 And I further answered and said to him, “What are these two olive branches that drip [c]into the receptacles of the two gold pipes from which the golden oil drains?”
13 Then he answered me and said, “Do you not know what these are?”
And I said, “No, my lord.”
14 So he said, (R)“These are the two [d]anointed ones, (S)who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth.”
