He showed me Y’hoshua the cohen hagadol standing before the angel of Adonai, with the Accuser [a] standing at his right to accuse him. Adonai said to the Accuser, “May Adonai rebuke you, Accuser! Indeed, may Adonai, who has made Yerushalayim his choice, rebuke you! Isn’t this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?” Y’hoshua was clothed in garments covered with dung; and he was standing before the angel, who said to those standing in front of him, “Take those filthy garments off of him.” Then to him he said, “See, I am taking your guilt away. I will clothe you in fine robes.” I said, “They should put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and gave him fine robes to wear, while the angel of Adonai stood by. Then the angel of Adonai gave Y’hoshua this warning: Adonai-Tzva’ot says this: ‘If you will walk in my ways, obey my commission, judge my house and guard my courtyards; then I will give you free access among these who are standing here. Listen, cohen gadol Y’hoshua, both you and your colleagues seated here before you, because these men are a sign that I am going to bring my servant Tzemach [Sprout]. For look at the stone I have put in front of Y’hoshua: on one stone are seven eyes; I will engrave what is to be written on it,’ says Adonai-Tzva’ot; ‘and I will remove the guilt of this land in one day. 10 When that time comes,’ says Adonai-Tzva’ot, ‘you will all invite each other to join you under your vines and fig trees.’”

Vision of the High Priest

Then he showed me (A)Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and (B)Satan[a] standing at his right hand to oppose him. And the Lord said to Satan, (C)“The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who (D)has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! (E)Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?”

Now Joshua was clothed with (F)filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.

Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, (G)and I will clothe you with rich robes.”

And I said, “Let them put a clean (H)turban on his head.”

So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of the Lord stood by.

The Coming Branch

Then the Angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying, “Thus says the Lord of hosts:

‘If you will walk in My ways,
And if you will (I)keep My command,
Then you shall also (J)judge My house,
And likewise have charge of My courts;
I will give you places to walk
Among these who (K)stand here.

‘Hear, O Joshua, the high priest,
You and your companions who sit before you,
For they are (L)a[b] wondrous sign;
For behold, I am bringing forth (M)My Servant the (N)BRANCH.
For behold, the stone
That I have laid before Joshua:
(O)Upon the stone are (P)seven eyes.
Behold, I will engrave its inscription,’
Says the Lord of hosts,
‘And (Q)I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
10 (R)In that day,’ says the Lord of hosts,
‘Everyone will invite his neighbor
(S)Under his vine and under his fig tree.’ ”

A Vision of Joshua the High Priest

Then he showed me (A)Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and (B)Satan[a] standing at his right hand to accuse him. And the Lord said to Satan, (C)“The Lord rebuke you, O Satan! The Lord who has (D)chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this (E)a brand[b] plucked from the fire?” Now (F)Joshua was standing before the angel, (G)clothed with filthy garments. And the angel said to (H)those who were standing before him, (I)“Remove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said, “Behold, (J)I have taken your iniquity away from you, and (K)I will clothe you with pure vestments.” And I said, (L)“Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the Lord was standing by.

And the angel of the Lord solemnly assured (M)Joshua, “Thus says the Lord of hosts: If you will walk in my ways and (N)keep my charge, then you shall (O)rule my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you the right of access among (P)those who are standing here. Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who sit before you, for (Q)they are men who are a sign: behold, I will bring (R)my servant (S)the Branch. For behold, on (T)the stone that I have set before Joshua, on a single stone with (U)seven eyes,[c] I will (V)engrave its inscription, declares the Lord of hosts, and (W)I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day. 10 In that day, declares the Lord of hosts, every one of you will invite his neighbor to come (X)under his vine and under his fig tree.”

Dharka Nadiifsan Wadaadka Sare

Oo wuxuu i tusay Yashuuca oo ah wadaadka sare oo hor taagan malaggii Rabbiga, iyo Shayddaan oo taagan gacantiisa midig si uu u ashtakeeyo. Markaas Rabbigu wuxuu Shayddaan ku yidhi, Shayddaanow, Rabbigu ha ku canaanto, Rabbiga Yeruusaalem doortay ha ku canaanto. Sow kanu ma aha qori dab laga dhiftay? Haddaba Yashuuca dhar wasakhaysan buu qabay, oo wuxuu istaagay malagga hortiisii. Isagu wuu jawaabay oo la hadlay kuwii isaga hor taagnaa, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Dharka wasakhaysan isaga ka fura. Kolkaasuu isagiina ku yidhi, Bal eeg, xumaantaadii waan kaa qaaday oo waxaan kuu xidhi doonaa dhar aad u wanaagsan. Oo anna markaasaan idhi, Duub daahirsan madaxa ha loo saaro. Markaasaa duub daahirsan madaxa loo saaray, oo dhar baa loo xidhay, oo malaggii Rabbiga ayaa ag istaagay. Markaasaa malaggii Rabbigu u caddeeyey Yashuuca, oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Rabbiga ciidammadu wuxuu leeyahay, Haddaad jidadkayga ku socotid, oo aad amarkayga xajisid, markaas waxaad xukumi doontaa gurigayga, oo weliba waxaad dhawri doontaa barxadahayga, oo anna kuwa halkan taagan dhexdooda ayaan kaa siin doonaa meel aad soo gashid. Haddaba Yashuuca oo wadaadka sare ahow, maqal, adiga iyo saaxiibbadaada ku hor fadhiya, maxaa yeelay, iyagu waa niman calaamad ah, waayo, bal eeg, anigu waxaan bixin doonaa addoonkayga Biqilka ah. Waayo, bal eeg dhagaxa aan Yashuuca hortiisa dhigay, isku dhagax ayaa waxaa ku yaal toddoba indhood. Rabbiga ciidammadu wuxuu leeyahay, Bal eeg, anigu waan xardhi doonaa xaradhkiisa, oo dalkaas xumaantiisana maalin qudha baan ku qaadi doonaa. 10 Oo Rabbiga ciidammadu wuxuu leeyahay, Wakhtigaas ninkiin kastaaba wuxuu deriskiisa ugu yeedhi doonaa canabka iyo berdaha hoostooda.
