7 «Dice il Signore degli eserciti: Se camminerai nelle mie vie e osserverai le mie leggi, tu avrai il governo della mia casa, sarai il custode dei miei atri e ti darò accesso fra questi che stanno qui.
La venuta del "germoglio"
8 Ascolta dunque, Giosuè sommo sacerdote, tu e i tuoi compagni che siedono davanti a te, poiché essi servono da presagio: ecco, io manderò il mio servo Germoglio. 9 Ecco la pietra che io pongo davanti a Giosuè: sette occhi sono su quest'unica pietra; io stesso inciderò la sua iscrizione - oracolo del Signore degli eserciti - e rimuoverò in un sol giorno l'iniquità da questo paese.

7 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements,(A) then you will govern my house(B) and have charge(C) of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.(D)
8 “‘Listen, High Priest(E) Joshua, you and your associates seated before you, who are men symbolic(F) of things to come: I am going to bring my servant, the Branch.(G) 9 See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua!(H) There are seven eyes[a](I) on that one stone,(J) and I will engrave an inscription on it,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will remove the sin(K) of this land in a single day.

8 ‘Hear, O Joshua, the high priest,
You and your companions who sit before you,
For they are (D)a[a] wondrous sign;
For behold, I am bringing forth (E)My Servant the (F)BRANCH.
9 For behold, the stone
That I have laid before Joshua:
(G)Upon the stone are (H)seven eyes.
Behold, I will engrave its inscription,’
Says the Lord of hosts,
‘And (I)I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
