⁶ And if one asks him, ‘What are these wounds on your back?’^[a] he will say, ‘The wounds I received in the house of my friends.’

¹² Then I said to them, “If it seems good to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them.” And they weighed out as my wages ^(A)thirty pieces of silver. ¹³ Then the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—^(B)the lordly price at which I was priced by them. So I took the ^(C)thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord, to the potter.

Him Whom They Have Pierced

¹⁰ “And ^(A)I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and ^(B)pleas for mercy, so that, ^(C)when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, ^(D)they shall mourn for him, ^(E)as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.

The Crown and the Temple

⁹ And the word of the Lord came to me: ¹⁰ “Take from the exiles ^(A)Heldai, Tobijah, and ^(B)Jedaiah, who have arrived from Babylon, and go the same day to the house of Josiah, the son of ^(C)Zephaniah. ¹¹ Take from them silver and gold, and make a crown, ^(D)and set it on the head of ^(E)Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest. ¹² And say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, “Behold, the man whose name is ^(F)the Branch: for he shall branch out from his place, and ^(G)he shall build the temple of the Lord. ^13 (H)It is he who shall build the temple of the Lord ^(I)and shall bear royal honor, and shall sit and rule on his throne. And there^[a] shall be a ^(J)priest on his throne, ^(K)and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.”’

^3 (A)Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. ^4 (B)On that day his feet shall stand ^(C)on ^(D)the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and ^(E)the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by ^(F)a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward. ⁵ And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from ^(G)the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.^[a]

^6 (H)On that day ^(I)there shall be ^(J)no light, cold, or frost.^{[b] 7 (K)}And there shall be a unique^[c] day, ^(L)which is known to the Lord, neither day nor night, but ^(M)at evening time there shall be light.

^8 (N)On that day ^(O)living waters shall flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to ^(P)the eastern sea^[d] and half of them to ^(Q)the western sea.^{[e] (R)}It shall continue in summer as in winter.

⁹ And ^(S)the Lord will be king over all the earth. ^(T)On that day the Lord will be ^(U)one and ^(V)his name one.
