8 I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me. 9 Then I said, “I will not feed you. That which dies, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let those who are left eat each other’s flesh.” 10 I took my staff Favor and cut it apart, that I might break my covenant that I had made with all the peoples.

8 In one month I got rid of the three shepherds.
The flock detested(A) me, and I grew weary of them 9 and said, “I will not be your shepherd. Let the dying die, and the perishing perish.(B) Let those who are left eat(C) one another’s flesh.”
10 Then I took my staff called Favor(D) and broke it, revoking(E) the covenant I had made with all the nations.

10 And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.

8 U mjesec dana otpustio sam tri pastira. Izgubio sam strpljenje s njima, a oni su me zamrzili. 9 Zatim sam rekao: »Neću više biti pastir s vama. Ovce, koje su na umoru, neka uginu. Ovce, koje trebaju biti uništene, neka budu uništene. A ovce koje preostanu, neka se međusobno pojedu.«
10 Zatim sam uzeo štap, koji sam nazvao Naklonost, i slomio ga napola. Tako sam raskinuo savez koji sam sklopio sa svim ljudima.
