Zechariah 1:12-17
English Standard Version
12 Then (A)the angel of the Lord said, (B)‘O Lord of hosts, (C)how long will you (D)have no mercy on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, against which you have been angry these (E)seventy years?’ 13 And the Lord answered (F)gracious and comforting words to (G)the angel who talked with me. 14 So (H)the angel who talked with me said to me, ‘Cry out, Thus says the Lord of hosts: (I)I am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion. 15 (J)And I am exceedingly angry with the nations that are (K)at ease; (L)for while I was angry but a little, (M)they furthered the disaster. 16 Therefore, thus says the Lord, (N)I have returned to Jerusalem with mercy; (O)my house shall be built in it, declares the Lord of hosts, and (P)the measuring line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem. 17 Cry out again, Thus says the Lord of hosts: (Q)My cities shall again overflow with prosperity, (R)and the Lord will again comfort Zion and again (S)choose Jerusalem.’”
