The Coming King of Zion

(A)Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
    Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
(B)Behold, (C)your king is coming to you;
    righteous and having salvation is he,
(D)humble and mounted on a donkey,
    on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
10 (E)I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim
    and (F)the war horse from Jerusalem;
and the battle bow shall be cut off,
    and (G)he shall speak peace to the nations;
(H)his rule shall be from sea to sea,
    and from (I)the River[a] to the ends of the earth.
11 As for you also, because of (J)the blood of my covenant with you,
    (K)I will set your prisoners free from (L)the waterless pit.
12 Return to your stronghold, O (M)prisoners of hope;
    today I declare that (N)I will restore to you double.

Great Is the Lord

[a] A Song of Praise. Of David.

145 (A)I will extol you, my God and (B)King,
    and bless your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless you
    (C)and praise your name forever and ever.
(D)Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised,
    and his (E)greatness is unsearchable.

(F)One generation shall commend your works to another,
    and shall declare your mighty acts.
On (G)the glorious splendor of your majesty,
    and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.
They shall speak of (H)the might of your awesome deeds,
    and I will declare your greatness.
They shall pour forth the fame of your (I)abundant goodness
    and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.

The Lord is (J)gracious and merciful,
    slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
The Lord is (K)good to all,
    and his mercy is over all that he has made.

10 (L)All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord,
    and all your (M)saints shall bless you!
11 They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom
    and tell of your power,
12 to (N)make known to the children of man your[b] (O)mighty deeds,
    and (P)the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
13 (Q)Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
    and your dominion endures throughout all generations.

[The Lord is faithful in all his words
    and kind in all his works.][c]

14 The Lord (A)upholds all who are falling
    and (B)raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all (C)look to you,
    and you give them their food in due season.
16 You (D)open your hand;
    you (E)satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 The Lord is (F)righteous in all his ways
    and (G)kind in all his works.
18 The Lord is (H)near to all who call on him,

    he also (K)hears their cry and saves them.
20 The Lord (L)preserves all who love him,
    but all the wicked he will destroy.

21 My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,
    and (M)let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.

21 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22 For (A)I delight in the law of God, (B)in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members (C)another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from (D)this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

Life in the Spirit

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.[a] For the law of (E)the Spirit of life (F)has set you[b] free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For (G)God has done what the law, (H)weakened by the flesh, (I)could not do. (J)By sending his own Son (K)in the likeness of sinful flesh and (L)for sin,[c] he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that (M)the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, (N)who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For (O)those who live according to the flesh set their minds on (P)the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on (Q)the things of the Spirit. For to set (R)the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

Come to Me, and I Will Give You Rest

25 (A)At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, (B)Lord of heaven and earth, that (C)you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and (D)revealed them to little children; 26 yes, Father, for such was your (E)gracious will.[a] 27 (F)All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son (G)except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone (H)to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28 (I)Come to (J)me, all who labor and are (K)heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and (L)learn from me, for I am (M)gentle and lowly in heart, and (N)you will find rest for your souls. 30 For (O)my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
