¹¹ But now I will not deal with the remnant of this people as I did in the past,”^(A) declares the Lord Almighty.

12 In that day^(A) you will say:

¹⁹ Is there yet any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate^(A) and the olive tree have not borne fruit.^(B)

“‘From this day on I will bless^(C) you.’”

⁸ I will bring them back^(A) to live^(B) in Jerusalem; they will be my people,^(C) and I will be faithful and righteous to them as their God.^(D)”

⁹ This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Now hear these words, ‘Let your hands be strong^(E) so that the temple may be built.’ This is also what the prophets^(F) said who were present when the foundation^(G) was laid for the house of the Lord Almighty.

⁹ You are under a curse^(A)—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. ¹⁰ Bring the whole tithe^(B) into the storehouse,^(C) that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates^(D) of heaven and pour out^(E) so much blessing^(F) that there will not be room enough to store it.^{(G) 11} I will prevent pests from devouring^(H) your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,^(I)” says the Lord Almighty.
