³ And there are ^(A)two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.”

⁴ These are ^(A)the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.

¹⁴ Then he said, ^(A)“These are the two anointed ones^[a] who stand by ^(B)the Lord of the whole earth.”

¹⁷ But if ^(A)some of the branches were broken off, and you, ^(B)although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root^[a] of the olive tree,

¹¹ Then I said to him, “What are these ^(A)two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?” ¹² And a second time I answered and said to him, “What are these ^(B)two branches of the olive trees, which are beside the two golden pipes from which the golden oil^[a] is poured out?”

²⁴ For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree.

⁹ But the olive tree said to them, ‘Shall I leave my abundance, by which gods and men are honored, and go hold sway over the trees?’
