² And he said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I see, and behold, ^(A)a lampstand all of gold, with a bowl on the top of it, and ^(B)seven lamps on it, with seven lips on each of the lamps that are on the top of it.

⁵ From the throne came ^(A)flashes of lightning, and rumblings^[a] and peals of thunder, and before the throne were burning ^(B)seven torches of fire, ^(C)which are the seven spirits of God,

¹² Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw ^(A)seven golden lampstands,

^14 (A)“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. ^15 (B)Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. ¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others, so ^(C)that^[a] they may see your good works and ^(D)give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

² And he said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying ^(A)scroll. Its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.”^[a]

^19 (A)also the small bowls and the fire pans and the basins and the pots and ^(B)the lampstands and ^(C)the dishes for incense ^(D)and the bowls for drink offerings. What was of gold the captain of the guard took away as gold, and what was of silver, as silver.

The Golden Lampstand

^31 (A)“You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand shall be made of hammered work: its base, its stem, its cups, its calyxes, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it. ³² And there shall be six branches going out of its sides, three branches of the lampstand out of one side of it and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side of it; ³³ three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on one branch, and three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on the other branch—so for the six branches going out of the lampstand. ³⁴ And on the lampstand itself there shall be four cups made like almond blossoms, with their calyxes and flowers, ³⁵ and a calyx of one piece with it under each pair of the six branches going out from the lampstand. ³⁶ Their calyxes and their branches shall be of one piece with it, the whole of it a single piece of hammered work of pure gold. ³⁷ You shall make seven lamps for it. And the lamps ^(B)shall be set up so as ^(C)to give light on the space in front of it. ³⁸ Its tongs and their trays shall be of pure gold.

²⁰ As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and ^(A)the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and ^(B)the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

To the Church in Ephesus

2 “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: ‘The words of ^(C)him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, ^(D)who walks among the seven golden lampstands.

¹¹ And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ^(A)“Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see an almond^[a] branch.” ¹² Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over my word to perform it.”

¹³ The word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see ^(B)a boiling pot, facing away ^(C)from the north.”
