Future Prosperity of Jerusalem

2 ^[a]When I looked again, I saw a man with a measuring line in his hand.

³ As he brought me nearer, I saw a man whose face shone like bronze standing beside a gateway entrance. He was holding in his hand a linen measuring cord and a measuring rod.

¹⁶ “‘Therefore, this is what the Lord says: I have returned to show mercy to Jerusalem. My Temple will be rebuilt, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, and measurements will be taken for the reconstruction of Jerusalem.^[a]’

¹⁵ The angel who talked to me held in his hand a gold measuring stick to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.

The Two Witnesses

11 Then I was given a measuring stick, and I was told, “Go and measure the Temple of God and the altar, and count the number of worshipers.

⁴ He measured off another 1,750 feet and led me across again. This time the water was up to my knees. After another 1,750 feet, it was up to my waist.

The East Gateway

⁵ I could see a wall completely surrounding the Temple area. The man took a measuring rod that was 10 1⁄2 feet^[a] long and measured the wall, and the wall was 10 1⁄2 feet^[b] thick and 10 1⁄2 feet high.
