¹⁴ Even ^(A)Judah will fight at Jerusalem.^[a] And ^(B)the wealth of all the surrounding nations shall be collected, gold, silver, and garments in great abundance.

¹⁸ Her merchandise and her wages will be holy to the Lord. It will not be stored or hoarded, but her merchandise will supply abundant food and fine clothing for those who dwell before the Lord.

² “Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem ^(A)a cup of staggering to ^(B)all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem ^(C)will also be against Judah.

²⁵ When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take their spoil, they found among them, in great numbers, goods, clothing, and precious things, which they took for themselves until they could carry no more. They were three days in taking the spoil, it was so much. ²⁶ On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Beracah,^[a] for there they blessed the Lord. Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of Beracah to this day. ²⁷ Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat at their head, returning to Jerusalem with joy, ^(A)for the Lord had made them rejoice over their enemies.

⁵ Then the clans of Judah shall say to themselves, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem have strength through the Lord of hosts, their God.’

^6 (A)“On that day I will make the clans of Judah ^(B)like a blazing pot in the midst of wood, like a flaming torch among sheaves. And ^(C)they shall devour to the right and to the left all the surrounding peoples, while ^(D)Jerusalem shall again be inhabited in its place, in Jerusalem.

⁷ “And the Lord will give salvation to the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not surpass that of Judah.

¹⁷ “As for you, ^(A)son of man, thus says the Lord God: ^(B)Speak to ^(C)the birds of every sort and to ^(D)all beasts of the field: ‘Assemble and come, gather from all around to ^(E)the sacrificial feast that I am preparing for you, a great sacrificial feast on the mountains of Israel, and you shall eat flesh and drink blood. ^18 (F)You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth—of rams, of lambs, and of he-goats, of bulls, all of them ^(G)fat beasts of Bashan. ¹⁹ And you shall eat fat till you are filled, and drink blood till you are drunk, at the sacrificial feast that I am preparing for you. ²⁰ And you shall be filled at my table with horses and charioteers, with mighty men and all kinds of warriors,’ declares the Lord God.

⁹ “Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out and ^(A)make fires of the weapons and burn them, shields and bucklers, bow and arrows, ^(B)clubs^[a] and spears; and they will make fires of them for seven years, ¹⁰ so that they will not need to take wood out of the field or cut down any out of the forests, for ^(C)they will make their fires of the weapons. ^(D)They will seize the spoil of those who despoiled them, and plunder those who plundered them, declares the Lord God.

¹³ Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as ^(A)Gerar, and the Ethiopians fell until none remained alive, for they were broken before the Lord and his army. The men of Judah^[a] carried away very much spoil. ¹⁴ And they attacked all the cities around ^(B)Gerar, ^(C)for the fear of the Lord was upon them. They plundered all the cities, for there was much plunder in them. ¹⁵ And they struck down the tents of those who had livestock and carried away sheep in abundance and camels. Then they returned to Jerusalem.
