That My covenant with Levi may continue,”

5 “My(A) covenant was with him, one of life and peace,

So he feared Me
And was reverent before My name.
6 (C)The[a] law of truth was in his mouth,
And [b]injustice was not found on his lips.
He walked with Me in peace and equity,
And (D)turned many away from iniquity.
7 “For(E) the lips of a priest should keep knowledge,
And people should seek the law from his mouth;
(F)For he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.
8 But you have departed from the way;
You (G)have caused many to stumble at the law.
(H)You have corrupted the covenant of Levi,”
Says the Lord of hosts.
9 “Therefore (I)I also have made you contemptible and base
Before all the people,
Because you have not kept My ways
But have shown (J)partiality in the law.”

So Eleazar and Ithamar ministered as priests in the presence of Aaron their father.

And the years of the life of Amram were one hundred and thirty-seven. 21 (H)The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri. 22 And (I)the sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Zithri. 23 Aaron took to himself Elisheba, daughter of (J)Amminadab, sister of Nahshon, as wife; and she bore him (K)Nadab, Abihu, (L)Eleazar, and Ithamar. 24 And (M)the sons of Korah were Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These are the families of the Korahites. 25 Eleazar, Aaron’s son, took for himself one of the daughters of Putiel as wife; and (N)she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites according to their families.
26 These are the same Aaron and Moses to whom the Lord said, “Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their (O)armies.”[a]
