The Lord’s Answer

¹⁷ “Proclaim further: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again comfort^(A) Zion and choose^(B) Jerusalem.’”^(C)

⁹ I asked, “What are these, my lord?”

The angel^(A) who was talking with me answered, “I will show you what they are.”^(B)

² This is what the Lord Almighty says: “I am very jealous^(A) for Zion; I am burning with jealousy for her.”

³ This is what the Lord says: “I will return^(B) to Zion^(C) and dwell in Jerusalem.^(D) Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City,^(E) and the mountain^(F) of the Lord Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain.^(G)”

4 Then the angel who talked with me returned and woke^(A) me up, like someone awakened from sleep.^(B)

³ While the angel who was speaking to me was leaving, another angel came to meet him ⁴ and said to him: “Run, tell that young man, ‘Jerusalem will be a city without walls^(A) because of the great number^(B) of people and animals in it.^(C)

¹³ So the Lord spoke^(A) kind and comforting words^(B) to the angel who talked with me.^(C)
