10 Demandez à l'Éternel la pluie, la pluie du printemps! L'Éternel produira des éclairs, Et il vous enverra une abondante pluie, Il donnera à chacun de l'herbe dans son champ.
2 Car les théraphim ont des paroles de néant, Les devins prophétisent des faussetés, Les songes mentent et consolent par la vanité. C'est pourquoi ils sont errants comme un troupeau, Ils sont malheureux parce qu'il n'y a point de pasteur.
3 Ma colère s'est enflammée contre les pasteurs, Et je châtierai les boucs; Car l'Éternel des armées visite son troupeau, la maison de Juda, Et il en fera comme son cheval de gloire dans la bataille;
4 De lui sortira l'angle, de lui le clou, de lui l'arc de guerre; De lui sortiront tous les chefs ensemble.
5 Ils seront comme des héros foulant dans la bataille la boue des rues; Ils combattront, parce que l'Éternel sera avec eux; Et ceux qui seront montés sur des chevaux seront couverts de honte.
6 Je fortifierai la maison de Juda, Et je délivrerai la maison de Joseph; Je les ramènerai, car j'ai compassion d'eux, Et ils seront comme si je ne les avais pas rejetés; Car je suis l'Éternel, leur Dieu, et je les exaucerai.
7 Éphraïm sera comme un héros; Leur coeur aura la joie que donne le vin; Leurs fils le verront et seront dans l'allégresse, Leur coeur se réjouira en l'Éternel.
8 Je les sifflerai et les rassemblerai, car je les rachète, Et ils multiplieront comme ils multipliaient.
9 Je les disperserai parmi les peuples, Et au loin ils se souviendront de moi; Ils vivront avec leurs enfants, et ils reviendront.
10 Je les ramènerai du pays d'Égypte, Et je les rassemblerai de l'Assyrie; Je les ferai venir au pays de Galaad et au Liban, Et l'espace ne leur suffira pas.
11 Il passera la mer de détresse, il frappera les flots de la mer, Et toutes les profondeurs du fleuve seront desséchées; L'orgueil de l'Assyrie sera abattu, Et le sceptre de l'Égypte disparaîtra.
12 Je les fortifierai par l'Éternel, Et ils marcheront en son nom, Dit l'Éternel.

English Standard Version
The Restoration for Judah and Israel
10 Ask rain (A)from the Lord
in the season of (B)the spring rain,
from the Lord (C)who makes the storm clouds,
and (D)he will give them showers of rain,
to everyone the vegetation in the field.
2 For (E)the household gods (F)utter nonsense,
and the diviners see lies;
(G)they tell false dreams
and give empty consolation.
Therefore (H)the people wander like sheep;
they are afflicted for lack of a shepherd.
3 (I)“My anger is hot against the shepherds,
and (J)I will punish the leaders;[a]
for (K)the Lord of hosts cares for his flock, the house of Judah,
and will make them like his majestic steed in battle.
4 From him shall come (L)the cornerstone,
from him (M)the tent peg,
from him the battle bow,
from him every ruler—(N)all of them together.
5 They shall be like mighty men in battle,
(O)trampling the foe in the mud of the streets;
they shall fight because the Lord is with them,
and they shall put to shame (P)the riders on horses.
6 (Q)“I will strengthen the house of Judah,
and (R)I will save the house of Joseph.
(S)I will bring them back (T)because I have compassion on them,
and they shall be as though I had not rejected them,
for (U)I am the Lord their God and I will answer them.
7 Then Ephraim shall become like a mighty warrior,
and (V)their hearts shall be glad as with wine.
Their children shall see it and be glad;
their hearts shall rejoice in the Lord.
8 (W)“I will whistle for them and (X)gather them in,
for I have redeemed them,
and (Y)they shall be as many as they were before.
9 (Z)Though I scattered them among the nations,
yet in far countries (AA)they shall remember me,
and with their children they shall live and return.
10 (AB)I will bring them home from the land of Egypt,
and gather them from Assyria,
and (AC)I will bring them to the land of Gilead and to Lebanon,
(AD)till there is no room for them.
11 (AE)He shall pass through the sea of troubles
and strike down the waves of the sea,
(AF)and all the depths of the Nile shall be dried up.
The pride of Assyria shall be laid low,
and (AG)the scepter of Egypt shall depart.
12 (AH)I will make them strong in the Lord,
and (AI)they shall walk in his name,”
declares the Lord.

10 Peçam chuva ao SENHOR quando precisarem dela.
O SENHOR é o criador dos raios e da chuva.
Ele fará crescer
as plantações nos campos das pessoas,
2 por que as estátuas dos ancestrais mentem para quem as adora.
As visões das quais falam os adivinhos
são uma mentira.
Os que interpretam os sonhos falam tolices;
o consolo que dão é um engano.
Por isso os moradores de Judá são como ovelhas que andam sem rumo longe do seu lar
e que sofrem porque não têm pastor.
3 “Estou muito chateado com os pastores do meu povo
e por isso os castigarei”.
O SENHOR Todo-Poderoso cuida do seu rebanho,
do povo de Judá.
Cuida dele como se fosse
seu cavalo de guerra mais valioso.
4 De Judá sairá a pedra principal,
a estaca da barraca,
o arco de guerra e todos os soldados.
5 Juntos serão como guerreiros
que pisoteiam o inimigo no barro durante a guerra.
Eles lutarão porque o SENHOR está com eles
e humilharão inclusive os seus inimigos que vão montados nos seus cavalos.
6 “Eu fortalecerei o povo de Judá
e salvarei o povo de José.
Farei com que voltem
porque terei piedade deles.
Será como se nunca os tivesse abandonado.
Farei isso porque eu sou o SENHOR, seu Deus,
e responderei ao seu chamado.
7 O povo de Efraim ficará muito feliz,
como os soldados que se sentam para beber.
Seus filhos olharão o acontecido e comemorarão.
Sentirão uma alegria imensa pelo que o SENHOR tem feito por eles.
8 Eu os salvarei e os chamarei
para que se reúnam.
Serão um país cheio de habitantes,
como no passado.
9 Eu os enviei a terras desconhecidas,
mas, ainda nesses lugares distantes, eles se lembrarão de mim.
Sobreviverão junto com seus filhos
e retornarão.
10 Eu farei com que voltem do Egito
e os recolherei da Assíria.
Eu os levarei à terra de Gileade e do Líbano
e não haverá suficiente espaço para todos eles.
11 Atravessará[a] o mar revolto
e baterá nas ondas.
Ele fará com que as profundezas do rio Nilo fiquem secas,
destruirá a arrogância da Assíria
e fará com que o Egito perca o seu poder.
12 O SENHOR os fortalecerá,
e com o seu poder irão aonde queiram ir”.
Assim diz o SENHOR.

10 Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.
3 Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the Lord of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.
4 Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.
5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the Lord is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.
6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.
7 And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the Lord.
8 I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.
9 And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.
10 I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them.
11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.
12 And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord.
