Domnul promite restaurarea Ierusalimului
8 Cuvântul Domnului Oştirilor a venit la mine şi mi-a zis:
2 „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Oştirilor:
«Sunt gelos cu o mare gelozie pentru Sion
şi sunt aprins de gelozie pentru el!»
3 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul:
«Mă voi întoarce în Sion
şi voi locui în mijlocul Ierusalimului!
Ierusalimul va fi numit ‘Cetatea Adevărului’,
iar muntele Domnului Oştirilor va fi numit ‘Muntele cel Sfânt!’»
4 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Oştirilor:
«Bătrâni şi femei în vârstă vor şedea iarăşi
în pieţele Ierusalimului,
fiecare cu toiagul său în mână,
din pricina mulţimii zilelor lor!
5 Pieţele cetăţii vor fi pline
de băieţi şi fete
care se vor juca pe străzile lui!»
6 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Oştirilor:
«În acele zile, lucrul acesta va părea o minune
în ochii rămăşiţei acestui popor,
dar oare va fi o minune şi în ochii Mei?»
zice Domnul Oştirilor.
7 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Oştirilor:
«Iată, îl voi izbăvi pe poporul Meu
din ţara de la răsărit
şi din ţara de la asfinţitul soarelui[a]!
8 Îi voi aduce înapoi
şi vor locui în mijlocul Ierusalimului!
Ei vor fi poporul Meu,
iar Eu voi fi Dumnezeul lor,
cu credincioşie şi cu dreptate!»
9 De aceea, aşa vorbeşte Domnul Oştirilor: «Întăriţi-vă mâinile, voi care ascultaţi în aceste zile cuvintele rostite prin gura profeţilor, care au vorbit în ziua când temelia Casei Domnului Oştirilor a fost pusă pentru zidirea Templului! 10 Căci înainte de aceste zile nu exista răsplată nici pentru om, nici pentru animale şi, din cauza duşmanului, cei ce se duceau şi veneau nu aveau pace. Îi stârnisem pe toţi oamenii împotriva semenilor lor! 11 Dar acum nu-i voi mai face rămăşiţei acestui popor ca în trecut, zice Domnul Oştirilor, 12 ci vor semăna în pace[b], viţa îşi va da rodul, pământul îşi va da recolta iar cerurile îşi vor lăsa roua să cadă. Toate acestea le voi da în stăpânirea rămăşiţei acestui popor. 13 Şi, aşa cum aţi fost un blestem printre neamuri, Casă a lui Iuda şi Casă a lui Israel, tot astfel vă voi mântui şi veţi fi o binecuvântare! Nu vă fie frică deci, ci întăriţi-vă mâinile!
14 Căci aşa vorbeşte Domnul Oştirilor: ‘După cum am plănuit să vă fac rău când M-au mâniat părinţii voştri, zice Domnul Oştirilor, şi nu Mi-a părut rău, 15 tot aşa şi acum, în zilele acestea, plănuiesc să fac bine din nou Ierusalimului şi Casei lui Iuda! Nu vă fie frică! 16 Acestea sunt lucrurile pe care trebuie să le faceţi: fiecare să spună semenului său adevărul! Să judecaţi la porţile voastre pe temeiul adevărului şi al dreptăţii depline! 17 Să nu gândiţi rău în inima voastră împotriva semenului vostru şi să nu iubiţi jurământul fals, căci toate acestea sunt lucruri pe care Eu le urăsc, zice Domnul.’»“
18 Cuvântul Domnului Oştirilor a venit la mine şi mi-a zis: 19 „Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Oştirilor: «Postul din luna a patra, postul din luna a cincea, postul din luna a şaptea şi postul din luna a zecea[c] vor deveni pentru Casa lui Iuda prilejuri de bucurie şi de veselie şi sărbători plăcute! Iubiţi deci adevărul şi pacea!»
20 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Oştirilor:
«Vor veni din nou popoare
şi locuitori ai multor cetăţi!
21 Locuitorii unei cetăţi
vor merge la cealaltă şi vor zice:
‘Haideţi să mergem să ne rugăm Domnului
şi să-L căutăm pe Domnul Oştirilor!
Voi merge chiar eu însumi!’
22 Vor veni multe popoare
şi neamuri puternice
să-L caute pe Domnul Oştirilor în Ierusalim
şi să se roage Domnului!»
23 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul Oştirilor: «În zilele acelea, zece oameni din orice limbă a neamurilor[d] vor apuca un iudeu de poala hainei, îl vor apuca şi-i vor zice: ‘Vrem să mergem cu voi, fiindcă am auzit că Dumnezeu este cu voi!’»“

The Lord Promises to Bless Jerusalem
8 The word of the Lord Almighty came to me.
2 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “I am very jealous(A) for Zion; I am burning with jealousy for her.”
3 This is what the Lord says: “I will return(B) to Zion(C) and dwell in Jerusalem.(D) Then Jerusalem will be called the Faithful City,(E) and the mountain(F) of the Lord Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain.(G)”
4 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets of Jerusalem,(H) each of them with cane in hand because of their age. 5 The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there.(I)”
6 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “It may seem marvelous to the remnant of this people at that time,(J) but will it seem marvelous to me?(K)” declares the Lord Almighty.
7 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “I will save my people from the countries of the east and the west.(L) 8 I will bring them back(M) to live(N) in Jerusalem; they will be my people,(O) and I will be faithful and righteous to them as their God.(P)”
9 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Now hear these words, ‘Let your hands be strong(Q) so that the temple may be built.’ This is also what the prophets(R) said who were present when the foundation(S) was laid for the house of the Lord Almighty. 10 Before that time there were no wages(T) for people or hire for animals. No one could go about their business safely(U) because of their enemies, since I had turned everyone against their neighbor. 11 But now I will not deal with the remnant of this people as I did in the past,”(V) declares the Lord Almighty.
12 “The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit,(W) the ground will produce its crops,(X) and the heavens will drop their dew.(Y) I will give all these things as an inheritance(Z) to the remnant of this people.(AA) 13 Just as you, Judah and Israel, have been a curse[a](AB) among the nations, so I will save(AC) you, and you will be a blessing.[b](AD) Do not be afraid,(AE) but let your hands be strong.(AF)”
14 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Just as I had determined to bring disaster(AG) on you and showed no pity when your ancestors angered me,” says the Lord Almighty, 15 “so now I have determined to do good(AH) again to Jerusalem and Judah.(AI) Do not be afraid. 16 These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth(AJ) to each other, and render true and sound judgment(AK) in your courts;(AL) 17 do not plot evil(AM) against each other, and do not love to swear falsely.(AN) I hate all this,” declares the Lord.
18 The word of the Lord Almighty came to me.
19 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “The fasts of the fourth,(AO) fifth,(AP) seventh(AQ) and tenth(AR) months will become joyful(AS) and glad occasions and happy festivals for Judah. Therefore love truth(AT) and peace.”
20 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Many peoples and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come, 21 and the inhabitants of one city will go to another and say, ‘Let us go at once to entreat(AU) the Lord and seek(AV) the Lord Almighty. I myself am going.’ 22 And many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the Lord Almighty and to entreat him.”(AW)
23 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’”(AX)

8 萬軍之耶和華的話臨到我說： 2 「萬軍之耶和華如此說：我為錫安心裡極其火熱，我為她火熱，向她的仇敵發烈怒。 3 耶和華如此說：我現在回到錫安，要住在耶路撒冷中。耶路撒冷必稱為誠實的城，萬軍之耶和華的山必稱為聖山。 4 萬軍之耶和華如此說：將來必有年老的男女坐在耶路撒冷街上，因為年紀老邁就手拿拐杖。 5 城中街上必滿有男孩女孩玩耍。 6 萬軍之耶和華如此說：到那日，這事在餘剩的民眼中看為稀奇，在我眼中也看為稀奇嗎？這是萬軍之耶和華說的。 7 萬軍之耶和華如此說：我要從東方從西方救回我的民。 8 我要領他們來，使他們住在耶路撒冷中。他們要做我的子民，我要做他們的神，都憑誠實和公義。

14 「萬軍之耶和華如此說：你們列祖惹我發怒的時候，我怎樣定意降禍並不後悔， 15 現在我照樣定意施恩於耶路撒冷和猶大家，你們不要懼怕。 16 你們所當行的是這樣：各人與鄰舍說話誠實，在城門口按至理判斷，使人和睦。 17 誰都不可心裡謀害鄰舍，也不可喜愛起假誓，因為這些事都為我所恨惡。這是耶和華說的。」

萬民必尋求主恩
20 「萬軍之耶和華如此說：將來必有列國的人和多城的居民來到。 21 這城的居民必到那城說：『我們要快去懇求耶和華的恩，尋求萬軍之耶和華！我也要去！』 22 必有列邦的人和強國的民來到耶路撒冷，尋求萬軍之耶和華，懇求耶和華的恩。 23 萬軍之耶和華如此說：在那些日子，必有十個人從列國諸族[b]中出來，拉住一個猶大人的衣襟，說：『我們要與你們同去，因為我們聽見神與你們同在了。』」
