35 Eriku n’ayongera okwogera nti,
2 “Olowooza kiba kituufu ggwe okugamba nti, Katonda ananziggyako omusango.
Oyogera nti, obutuukirivu bwange businga obwa Katonda.
3 (A)Ate obuuza nti, ‘Nganyulwa ntya?’
Kirungi ki kye nfuna mu kwonoona kwange?
4 “Nandyagadde okukuddamu
ne mikwano gyo egyo gy’oli nagyo.
5 (B)Tunula eri eggulu olabe;
tunuulira ebire, ebiri waggulu ennyo okukusinga.
6 (C)Singa oyonoona ekyo kimukwatako kitya?
Ebyonoono byo bwe byeyongera, ekyo kimukolako ki?
7 (D)Bw’oba omutuukirivu, kiki ky’oba omuwadde,
oba kiki ky’aba afunye okuva mu ngalo zo?
8 Okwonoona kwo kukosa muntu nga ggwe,
era n’obutuukirivu bwo bukwata ku baana b’abantu.
9 (E)Abantu bakaaba olw’okunyigirizibwa okw’amaanyi,
balaajaanira ab’omukono ogw’amaanyi.
10 (F)Naye tewali n’omu agamba nti, Aluwa Mukama Omutonzi wange
atuwa ennyimba ekiro,
11 (G)atuyigiriza ebingi okusinga ensolo ez’omu nsiko,
era n’atufuula bagezi okusinga ebinyonyi eby’omu nsiko?
12 (H)Newaakubadde nga bakaaba, tayinza kuwulira
n’addamu kukaaba kw’abasajja ab’amalala abakozi b’ebibi.
13 (I)Ddala ddala Katonda tawuliriza kukoowoola kwabwe okwo okutaliimu;
Ayinzabyonna takufaako.
14 (J)Kale kiba kitya
bw’ogamba nti tomulaba,
era nti, Omusango gwo guli mu maaso ge
era oteekwa okumulindirira;
15 oba nti, ne bw’asunguwala tabonereza
era tafaayo nnyo ku butali butuukirivu.
16 (K)Kale nno Yobu ayasamya akamwa ke okwogera ebitaliimu;
obutamanya bumwogeza ebigambo olukunkumuli.”

English Standard Version
Elihu Condemns Job
35 And Elihu answered and said:
2 “Do you think this to be just?
Do you say, (A)‘It is my right before God,’
3 that you ask, (B)‘What advantage have I?
How am I better off than if I had sinned?’
4 I will answer you
and (C)your friends with you.
5 (D)Look at the heavens, and see;
and behold the clouds, which are higher than you.
6 If you have sinned, (E)what do you accomplish against him?
And if your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to him?
7 (F)If you are righteous, what do you give to him?
Or what does he receive from your hand?
8 Your wickedness concerns a man like yourself,
and your righteousness (G)a son of man.
9 “Because of the multitude of (H)oppressions people (I)cry out;
they call for help because of the arm of (J)the mighty.[a]
10 But none says, ‘Where is God my (K)Maker,
who gives (L)songs in the night,
11 who teaches us (M)more than the beasts of the earth
and makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens?’
12 There they (N)cry out, but he does not answer,
because of the pride of evil men.
13 Surely God does not hear an empty cry,
nor does the Almighty regard it.
14 How much less when you say that you (O)do not see him,
that the case is before him, and you are (P)waiting for him!
15 And now, because (Q)his anger does not punish,
and he does not take much note of transgression,[b]
16 Job opens his mouth in empty talk;
he (R)multiplies words (S)without knowledge.”

35 Ê-li-hu nói tiếp:
2 Anh tưởng anh nói đúng sao,
Khi anh tuyên bố: “Tôi vô tội trước mặt Đức Chúa Trời?”
3 Anh lại hỏi: “Chúa được ích lợi gì?
Còn tôi được ích lợi gì, nếu tôi không phạm tội?”
4 Tôi xin thưa với anh,
Và các bạn hữu của anh nữa.

5 Hãy ngước mắt lên xem các tầng trời!
Hãy ngắm nhìn các tầng mây cao vợi hơn anh!
6 Nếu anh phạm tội, việc ấy can hệ gì đến Đức Chúa Trời?
Nếu anh gia tăng vi phạm, anh làm gì được Ngài?
7 Nếu anh công chính, anh cho Ngài điều gì?
Ngài nhận được gì từ tay anh?
8 Sự gian ác của anh chỉ hại người đồng loại,
Sự công chính của anh chỉ giúp loài người thôi.
9 Loài người bị áp bức nặng nề kêu than,
Họ kêu cứu khỏi tay kẻ quyền thế.
10 Nhưng không ai hỏi: “Đức Chúa Trời, Đấng tạo dựng tôi, ở đâu?
Chính Ngài khiến bài ca trổi lên trong đêm tối,
11 Ngài ban cho chúng ta tri thức nhiều hơn thú rừng,
Khiến chúng ta khôn ngoan hơn chim trời.”
12 Họ kêu cứu, nhưng Ngài không đáp lại,
Vì họ kiêu căng và gian ác.
13 Thật lời kêu cứu trống không, Đức Chúa Trời chẳng màng nghe,
Đấng Toàn Năng chẳng màng đoái đến.

14 Huống chi anh, làm sao Đức Chúa Trời nghe anh được,
Khi anh nói anh không thấy Ngài,
Vụ kiện tụng của anh đã đến trước mặt Ngài,
Và anh đang chờ Ngài xét xử?
15 Và bây giờ, vì Ngài không đoán phạt theo cơn thịnh nộ,
Không quan tâm nhiều đến các vi phạm,
16 Anh Gióp mở miệng nói lời trống rỗng,
Nói quá nhiều những lời vô nghĩa.
