12 Kwa hiyo ndugu zangu, hatuwajibiki tena kuishi kama miili yetu inavyotaka. 13 Kwa maana mkiishi kama mwili unavyotaka mta kufa,lakini kama mkiangamiza matendo ya mwili kwa nguvu ya Roho, mtaishi.
14 Kwa maana wote wanaoongozwa na Roho wa Mungu ni wana wa Mungu.

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

12 So, my brothers, we must not be ruled by our sinful selves. We must not live the way our sinful selves want. 13 If you use your lives to do the wrong things your sinful selves want, then you will die spiritually. But if you use the Spirit’s help to stop doing the wrong things you do with your body, then you will have true life.
14 The true children of God are those who let God’s Spirit lead them.
