Han älskar oss och har befriat oss från våra synder genom sitt blod. 6 Han har gjort oss till ett kungarike, till präster åt sin Gud och Fader. Hans är äran och makten i all evighet, amen.

7 Se! Han kommer med molnen,
    och varje öga ska se honom,
också de som genomborrade honom.
    Alla stammar på jorden
ska jämra sig för hans skull.
    Ja, amen.

5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness,(A) the firstborn from the dead,(B) and the ruler of the kings of the earth.(C)

To him who loves us(D) and has freed us from our sins by his blood,(E) 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests(F) to serve his God and Father(G)—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.(H)

7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”[a](I)
    and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;(J)
    and all peoples on earth “will mourn(K) because of him.”[b]
So shall it be! Amen.
