^5 (A)not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through ^(B)the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

^16 (A)knowing that a man is not ^[a]justified by the works of the law but ^(B)by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not ^(C)by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

^8 (A)For by grace you have been saved ^(B)through faith, and that not of yourselves; ^(C)it is the gift of God, ⁹ not of ^(D)works, lest anyone should ^(E)boast. ¹⁰ For we are ^(F)His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

^24 (A)who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, ^(B)that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—^(C)by whose ^[a]stripes you were healed.

God’s Everlasting Love

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? ^(A)If God is for us, who can be against us? ^32 (B)He who did not spare His own Son, but ^(C)delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? ³³ Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? ^(D)It is God who justifies. ^34 (E)Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, ^(F)who is even at the right hand of God, ^(G)who also makes intercession for us. ³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ³⁶ As it is written:

^37 (I)Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor ^(J)principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, ³⁹ nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
