Titus 3:3-11

^3 (A)For we also once were foolish ourselves, ^(B)disobedient, ^(C)deceived, ^(D)enslaved to ^(E)various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in ^(F)malice and ^(G)envy, hateful, hating one another. ⁴ But when the ^(H)kindness of ^(I)God our Savior and His love for mankind ^(J)appeared, ^5 (K)He saved us, ^(L)not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but ^(M)according to His mercy, by the ^(N)washing of regeneration and ^(O)renewing by the Holy Spirit, ^6 (P)whom He poured out upon us ^(Q)richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, ⁷ so that being justified by His grace we would be made ^(R)heirs ^[a]according to the hope of eternal life. ^8 (S)This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I ^(T)want you to speak confidently, so that those who have ^(U)believed God will be careful to ^(V)engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men. ⁹ But ^(W)avoid ^(X)foolish controversies and ^(Y)genealogies and strife and ^(Z)disputes about the Law, for they are ^(AA)unprofitable and worthless. ^10 (AB)Reject a ^(AC)factious man ^(AD)after a first and second warning, ¹¹ knowing that such a man is ^(AE)perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned.
