3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, (A)not malicious gossips nor (B)enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, 4 so that they may instruct the young women in sensibility: to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be sensible, pure, (C)workers at home, kind, being (D)subject to their own husbands, (E)so that the word of God will not be slandered.

New English Translation
3 Older women likewise are to exhibit behavior fitting for those who are holy, not slandering, not slaves to excessive drinking, but teaching what is good. 4 In this way[a] they will train[b] the younger women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be self-controlled,[c] pure, fulfilling their duties at home,[d] kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the message[e] of God may not be discredited.[f]
