Teach Sound Doctrine
2 But as for you, teach what accords with (A)sound[a] doctrine. 2 Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, (B)sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. 3 (C)Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, (D)not slanderers (E)or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, (F)pure, (G)working at home, kind, and (H)submissive to their own husbands, (I)that the word of God may not be reviled. 6 Likewise, urge (J)the younger men to be self-controlled. 7 Show yourself in all respects to be (K)a model of good works, and in your teaching (L)show integrity, (M)dignity, 8 and (N)sound speech that cannot be condemned, (O)so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us. 9 (P)Bondservants[b] are to be submissive to their own masters (Q)in everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, 10 not pilfering, (R)but showing all good faith, (S)so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.
11 For (T)the grace of God (U)has appeared, bringing salvation (V)for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and (W)worldly passions, and (X)to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in (Y)the present age, 13 (Z)waiting for our blessed (AA)hope, the (AB)appearing of the glory of our great (AC)God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 (AD)who gave himself for us to (AE)redeem us from all lawlessness and (AF)to purify for himself (AG)a people for his own possession who are (AH)zealous for good works.
15 Declare these things; exhort and (AI)rebuke with all authority. (AJ)Let no one disregard you.

2 Pero tú, Tito, debes enseñar lo que es correcto. 2 A los ancianos, diles que deben ser responsables, que deben controlar sus deseos y pensar bien lo que van a hacer. También deben confiar en Dios, amar a los demás, y ser siempre pacientes.
3 Recomienda a las ancianas que se comporten como personas que aman a Dios. No deben ser chismosas ni emborracharse, sino más bien ser un buen ejemplo para las mujeres más jóvenes, 4 y enseñarles a amar a sus esposos e hijos. 5 También deben enseñarles a pensar bien lo que van a hacer, y a ser dueñas de sí mismas, a atender bien a su familia y sujetarse a su esposo. Así nadie podrá hablar mal del mensaje de Dios.
6 A los jóvenes, recomiéndales que aprendan a controlar sus malos deseos. 7 Tú mismo tienes que ser un buen ejemplo en todo. Enséñales a hacer el bien y, cuando lo hagas, hazlo con seriedad y honestidad. 8 Di siempre lo bueno, y así nadie podrá criticarte. Si haces lo que te digo, los que están en contra nuestra sentirán vergüenza y no podrán hablar mal de nosotros.
9 A los miembros de la iglesia que son esclavos,[a] diles que obedezcan siempre a sus amos, y que sean amables y no discutan nada. 10 No deben robar, sino ser totalmente honestos, para que todos vean lo hermosa que es la enseñanza acerca de Dios nuestro salvador.
Dios es bueno y nos da una nueva vida
11 Dios ha demostrado cuánto ama a todo el mundo, pues les ha ofrecido la posibilidad de salvarse del castigo que merecen. 12 Ese amor de Dios nos enseña que debemos dejar de hacer el mal, y no desear lo malo de este mundo. También nos enseña que, en este mundo, debemos ser honestos y fieles a Dios, y pensar bien lo que hacemos. 13 Así debemos vivir, mientras llega ese día feliz y maravilloso que todos esperamos, cuando se manifestará nuestro gran Dios y Salvador Jesucristo. 14 Él quiso morir para rescatarnos de todo lo malo y para purificarnos de nuestros pecados. Al hacerlo, nos convirtió en su pueblo, en un pueblo decidido a hacer el bien.
15 Enseña estas cosas con toda autoridad, para animar y corregir a la gente. No des motivo para que te falten el respeto.

- Tito 2:9 Esclavos: En ese tiempo, en todos los pueblos, la gente tenía esclavos. El Nuevo Testamento enseña que, para los seguidores de Cristo, ya no es importante ser esclavo o no serlo (Gálatas 3.28; Efesios 6.8; Colosenses 3.11). 2 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;
10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
