¹⁵ Declare these things; exhort and reprove with all authority.^[a] Let no one look down on you.

² proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage with the utmost patience in teaching.^(A)

¹² Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.^{(A) 13} Until I arrive, give attention to the public reading of scripture,^[a] to exhorting, to teaching.

¹³ That testimony is true. For this reason rebuke them sharply, so that they may become sound in the faith,^(A)

²⁹ for he taught them as one having authority and not as their scribes.
