^13 (A)waiting for our blessed ^(B)hope, the ^(C)appearing of the glory of our great ^(D)God and Savior Jesus Christ,

⁸ Henceforth there is ^(A)laid up for me ^(B)the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, ^(C)the righteous judge, will award to me on ^(D)that day, and not only to me but also to all ^(E)who have loved his appearing.

⁷ so that you are not lacking in any gift, as you ^(A)wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ,

^27 (A)For the Son of Man is going to come with ^(B)his angels in the glory of his Father, and ^(C)then he will repay each person according to what he has done.

^2 (A)in hope of eternal life, which God, ^(B)who never lies, ^(C)promised ^(D)before the ages began^[a]

^12 (A)waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and ^(B)the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! ¹³ But according to his promise we are waiting for ^(C)new heavens and a new earth ^(D)in which righteousness dwells.

Final Words

^14 (E)Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him ^(F)without spot or ^(G)blemish, and ^(H)at peace.

² Beloved, we are ^(A)God's children ^(B)now, and what we will be ^(C)has not yet appeared; but we know that ^(D)when he appears^{[a] (E)}we shall be like him, because ^(F)we shall see him as he is. ³ And everyone who ^(G)thus hopes in him ^(H)purifies himself as he is pure.

²⁸ so Christ, having been offered once ^(A)to bear the sins of ^(B)many, will appear ^(C)a second time, ^(D)not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly ^(E)waiting for him.

⁶² And Jesus said, “I am, and ^(A)you will see the Son of Man ^(B)seated at the right hand of Power, and ^(C)coming with the clouds of heaven.”
