8 Henceforth there is (A)laid up for me (B)the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, (C)the righteous judge, will award to me on (D)that day, and not only to me but also to all (E)who have loved his appearing.
27 (A)For the Son of Man is going to come with (B)his angels in the glory of his Father, and (C)then he will repay each person according to what he has done.
12 (A)waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and (B)the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!13 But according to his promise we are waiting for (C)new heavens and a new earth (D)in which righteousness dwells.
Final Words
14 (E)Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him (F)without spot or (G)blemish, and (H)at peace.
2 Beloved, we are (A)God's children (B)now, and what we will be (C)has not yet appeared; but we know that (D)when he appears[a](E)we shall be like him, because (F)we shall see him as he is.3 And everyone who (G)thus hopes in him (H)purifies himself as he is pure.
28 so Christ, having been offered once (A)to bear the sins of (B)many, will appear (C)a second time, (D)not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly (E)waiting for him.
4 In their case (A)the god of this world (B)has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing (C)the light of (D)the gospel of the glory of Christ, (E)who is the image of God.
20 But (A)our citizenship is in heaven, and (B)from it we (C)await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,21 who will transform (D)our lowly body (E)to be like his glorious body, (F)by the power that enables him even (G)to subject all things to himself.
24 For (A)in this hope we were saved. Now (B)hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we (C)wait for it with patience.
38 For (A)whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this (B)adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed (C)when he comes in the glory of his Father with (D)the holy angels.”
6 For God, who said, (A)“Let light shine out of darkness,” (B)has shone in our hearts to give (C)the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 Behold, (A)he is coming with the clouds, and (B)every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail[a] on account of him. Even so. Amen.
7 so that (A)the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes (B)though it is tested by (C)fire—may be found to result in (D)praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
3 (A)Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! (B)According to his great mercy, (C)he has caused us to be born again to a living hope (D)through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
6 whom he (A)poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,7 so that (B)being justified by his grace we might become (C)heirs (D)according to the hope of eternal life.
