13 This testimony is true. For this reason (A)reprimand them (B)severely so that they may be (C)sound in the faith, 14 not paying attention to Jewish (D)myths and (E)commandments of men who (F)turn away from the truth. 15 (G)To the pure, all things are pure; but (H)to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their (I)mind and their conscience are defiled. 16 (J)They profess to know God, but by their deeds they (K)deny Him, being (L)detestable and (M)disobedient and (N)worthless (O)for any good deed.

Proclaim Sound Doctrine

But as for you, proclaim the things which are fitting for (P)sound doctrine.

For this reason rebuke them sharply, so that they may become sound in the faith,(A) 14 not paying attention to Jewish myths or to commandments of those who reject the truth.(B) 15 To the pure all things are pure, but to the corrupt and unbelieving nothing is pure; their very minds and consciences are corrupted.(C) 16 They profess to know God, but they deny him by their actions; they are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.(D)

But as for you, teach what is consistent with sound instruction.
