⁴ To ^(A)Titus, a true son in our common faith:

Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and ^[a]the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

² To Timothy, a ^(A)beloved son:

Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Contend for the Faith

³ Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you ^(A)concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting ^(B)you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

¹¹ for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Greeting the Faithful

1 Simon Peter, a bondservant and ^(A)apostle of Jesus Christ,

To those who have ^[a]obtained ^(B)like^[b] precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

^13 (A)I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I departed for Macedonia.

²³ If anyone inquires about ^(A)Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker concerning you. Or if our brethren are inquired about, they are ^(B)messengers^[a] of the churches, the glory of Christ.

¹² that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by ^(A)the mutual faith both of you and me.

⁴² Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for ^(A)we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed ^[a]the Christ, the Savior of the world.”

Confidence and Compassion in Prayer

¹⁴ Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that ^(A)if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
