Titus 3:3-8

New King James Version

³For ^(A)we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. ⁴But when ^(B)the kindness and the love of ^(C)God our Savior toward man appeared, ⁵^(D)not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through ^(E)the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, ⁶^(F)whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, ⁷that having been justified by His grace ^(G)we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

⁸^(H)This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

³For we also once were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. ⁴But when the kindness of God our Saviour, and his love toward man, appeared, ⁵not by works done in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the ^[a]washing of regeneration ^[b]and renewing of the Holy Spirit, ⁶which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour; ⁷that, being justified by his grace, we might be made ^[c]heirs according to the hope of eternal life. ⁸Faithful is the saying, and concerning these things I desire that thou affirm confidently, to the end that they who have believed God may be careful to ^[d]maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men:

We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. ⁴But when the kindness^(B) and love of God our Savior^(C) appeared,^(D) ⁵he saved us,^(E) not because of righteous things we had done,^(F) but because of his mercy.^(G) He saved us through the washing^(H) of rebirth and renewal^(I) by the Holy Spirit, ⁶whom he poured out on us^(J) generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, ⁷so that, having been justified by his grace,^(K) we might become heirs^(L) having the hope^(M) of eternal life.^(N) ⁸This is a trustworthy saying.^(O) And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good.^(P) These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
