13 This testimony is true. Teach Sound Doctrine

But as for you, teach what accords with (M)sound[a] doctrine.

Sound Teaching and Christian Living

But you must say the things that are consistent with sound teaching.(I)

Therefore rebuke(A) them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith(B) 14 and will pay no attention to Jewish myths(C) or to the merely human commands(D) of those who reject the truth.(E) 15 To the pure, all things are pure,(F) but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure.(G) In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted.(H) 16 They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him.(I) They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.(J)

Doing Good for the Sake of the Gospel

You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine.(K)
