1 Paulu, ìránṣẹ́ Ọlọ́run àti aposteli Jesu Kristi, gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìgbàgbọ́ àwọn àyànfẹ́ Ọlọ́run àti ìmọ̀ òtítọ́ irú èyí tí í máa darí ènìyàn sí ìgbé ayé ìwà-bí-Ọlọ́run— 2 ìgbàgbọ́ àti ìmọ̀ tí ó dúró lórí ìrètí iyè àìnípẹ̀kun, èyí tí Ọlọ́run tí kì í purọ́ ti ṣe ìlérí rẹ̀ ṣáájú kí ayé tó bẹ̀rẹ̀, 3 àti pé ní àkókò tirẹ̀, òun ti fi ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀ hàn nínú ìwàásù tí a fi lé mi lọ́wọ́ nípa àṣẹ Ọlọ́run Olùgbàlà wa.
4 (A)Sí Titu, ọmọ mi tòótọ́ nínú ìgbàgbọ́ wa kan náà.
Oore-ọ̀fẹ́ àti àlàáfíà láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run baba àti Kristi Jesu Olùgbàlà wa.

5 Ìdí tí mo fi fi ọ́ sílẹ̀ ní Krete ni pé kí o lè ṣe àṣepé àwọn iṣẹ́ tó ṣẹ́kù. Mo sì ń rọ̀ ọ́ kí o yan àwọn alàgbà ní ìlú kọ̀ọ̀kan gẹ́gẹ́ bí mo ṣe darí rẹ̀. 6 Ẹni tí yóò jẹ́ alàgbà gbọdọ̀ jẹ́ aláìlábùkù, wọ́n gbọdọ̀ jẹ́ onìyàwó kan, ọmọ wọn náà gbọdọ̀ jẹ́ onígbàgbọ́ tí kò ní ẹ̀sùn ìwà ipá tàbí ẹ̀sùn àìgbọ́ràn kankan. 7 Alábojútó jẹ́ ẹni tí a gbé iṣẹ́ Ọlọ́run lé lọ́wọ́, nítorí náà, kò gbọdọ̀ ní àbùkù kankan tàbí agbéraga, oníjà, kò gbọdọ̀ jẹ́ ọ̀mùtí tàbí alágídí tàbí olójúkòkòrò. 8 Wọ́n ní láti jẹ́ olùfẹ́ àlejò ṣíṣe, olùfẹ́ ohun tí ó dára. Wọ́n ní láti jẹ́ ẹni tí ó kò ara rẹ̀ ní ìjánu, ẹni dúró ṣinṣin, ọlọ́kàn mímọ́, àti ẹni oníwàtítọ́. 9 Ó gbọdọ̀ di ẹ̀kọ́ nípa ìdúró ṣinṣin mú dáradára gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti kọ́ ọ, kí ó lè fi ẹ̀kọ́ tí ó yè kooro kọ́ àwọn ẹlòmíràn. Nípa èyí, yóò lè fi ìdí òtítọ́ múlẹ̀ fún àwọn alátakò.
10 Nítorí ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ènìyàn ni ọlọ̀tẹ̀, asọ̀rọ̀ asán àti ẹlẹ́tàn pàápàá jùlọ láàrín àwọn onílà. 11 Ó gbọdọ̀ pa wọ́n lẹ́nu mọ́, nítorí wí pé wọ́n ń pa agbo Ọlọ́run run, nípasẹ̀ àwọn ẹ̀kọ́ tí kò jẹ́ èyí tí wọ́n ń kọ́ni. Èyí ni wọ́n ń ṣe fún ère àìṣòdodo. 12 Ọ̀kan nínú àwọn wòlíì wọn pàápàá sọ wí pé. “Òpùrọ́ ní àwọn ará Krete, wọ́n jẹ́ ẹranko búburú tí kò sé tù lójú, ọ̀lẹ, àti oníwọra”. 13 Òtítọ́ ni ẹ̀rí yìí. Nítorí náà, bá wọn wí gidigidi, kí wọn ba à lè yè koro nínú ìgbàgbọ́ 14 kí àwọn má ṣe fiyèsí ìtàn lásán ti àwọn Júù, àti òfin àwọn ènìyàn tí wọ́n yípadà kúrò nínú òtítọ́. 15 Sí ọlọ́kàn mímọ́, ohun gbogbo ló jẹ́ mímọ́, ṣùgbọ́n àwọn tó ti díbàjẹ́ tí wọ́n kò sí ka ohunkóhun sí mímọ́. Nítòótọ́, àti ọkàn àti ẹ̀rí ọkàn wọn ló ti díbàjẹ́. 16 Wọ́n ń fẹnu sọ wí pé àwọn mọ Ọlọ́run, ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n sẹ́ ẹ nípa ìṣe wọn. Wọ́n díbàjẹ́, wọn si jẹ aláìgbọ́ràn, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọ́n kò wúlò lọ́nàkọnà ní ti iṣẹ́ rere gbogbo.

Greeting
1 Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and (A)the acknowledgment of the truth (B)which accords with godliness, 2 in hope of eternal life which God, who (C)cannot lie, promised before time began, 3 but has in due time manifested His word through preaching, which was committed to me according to the commandment of God our Savior;
4 To (D)Titus, a true son in our common faith:
Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and [a]the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.
Qualified Elders
5 For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should (E)set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you— 6 if a man is blameless, the husband of one wife, (F)having faithful children not accused of [b]dissipation or insubordination. 7 For a [c]bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, (G)not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, 8 but hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled, 9 holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.
The Elders’ Task
10 For there are many insubordinate, both idle (H)talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, 11 whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, (I)for the sake of dishonest gain. 12 (J)One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.” 13 This testimony is true. (K)Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, 14 not giving heed to Jewish fables and (L)commandments of men who turn from the truth. 15 (M)To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. 16 They profess to (N)know God, but (O)in works they deny Him, being [d]abominable, disobedient, (P)and disqualified for every good work.

3 Nana nei i whakakite mai tana kupu i ona wa, ra te kupu i tukua mai ki ahau, he mea whakarite mai na te Atua, na to tatou Kaiwhakaora;

5 Ko te mea tenei i waiho atu ai koe e ahau ki Kariti, kia whakatikaia ai e koe nga mea i mahue, kia whakaritea ai ano hoki he kaumatua ki ia pa, ki ia pa, kia pera ai me taku i whakatakoto atu ai ki a koe:
6 Ki te mea he tangata kahore e ekengia e te kupu, he tahu no te wahine kotahi, he tamariki whakapono ana, kahore e korerotia to ratou toreretanga ki te kino, kahore e tutu.
7 Ko te tikanga hoki mo te pihopa, kia kaua e ekengia e te kupu, kia rite ki ta te Atua tuari: ehara i te mea tohe ki tana ake, kahore ona aritarita, kahore ana kakai waina, kahore ana papatu, kahore e whai i te taonga he;
8 Engari e atawhai ana i te manuhiri, e aroha ana ki te pai, e whai whakaaro ana, e tika ana, e tapu ana, e pehi ana i ona hiahia;
9 E u ana te pupuri i te kupu pono i whakaakona atu na, kia taea ai e ia, i te mea ka tika nei tana whakaako, te whakahauhau, te turaki ano i ta te hunga e totohe mai ana.
10 He tokomaha hoki te hunga tutu, korero teka noa, tinihanga; nui atu ia o te hunga o te kotinga,
11 Me kuku o ratou waha; riro pu hoki etahi whare te whakaputa ke e ratou, e whakaako ana i nga mea e kore e tika, he whakaaro hoki ki te taonga he.
12 I mea tetahi o ratou, he poropiti no ratou ake, He teka tonu ta nga Kariti, he kararehe kino, he pukukai, he mangere.
13 Ka pono tenei korero. Na reira kia koi tau kupu riri ki a ratou; kia ora ai to ratou whakapono;
14 Kei tahuri hoki ratou ki nga kupu tito a nga Hurai, ki nga ture a nga tangata e whakaputa ke ana i te pono.
15 He ma nga mea katoa ki te hunga ma: tena ki te hunga poke, kahore nei o ratou whakapono, kahore he mea ma: heoi he mea poke o ratou whakaaro, o ratou hinengaro.
16 Ki ta ratou ki kua matau ratou ki te Atua; heoi ko a ratou mahi hei whakakahore ki a ia, he hunga whakarihariha ratou, he hunga tutu, e kore ano e tikangatia mo tetahi mahi pai.
