1 Lòng tôi tràn đầy những ý tưởng cao đẹp;
Tôi xin ngâm cho vua nghe những lời thơ tao nhã;
Lưỡi tôi như ngòi viết của một văn sĩ tài hoa.
2 Ðức vua tuấn tú hơn hẳn các con trai của loài người;
Ân điển thoát ra từ môi người;
Cho nên Ðức Chúa Trời ban phước cho người mãi mãi.
3 Hỡi người dũng mãnh, xin nịt gươm người bên hông;
Xin mặc lấy sự huy hoàng và uy nghi!
4 Vì cớ chân lý, khiêm nhu, và công chính,
Người oai hùng cỡi ngựa ra đi cách hiên ngang;
Nguyện tay phải người thực hiện những việc đáng sợ.
5 Nguyện những mũi tên của người thật bén nhọn,
Ghim thấu vào tim những kẻ thù của người;
Nguyện các dân ngã rạp dưới chân người.
6 Ðức Chúa Trời ôi, nguyện ngôi người còn đời đời vô cùng;
Nguyện vương trượng của người là vương trượng của công lý.
7 Người yêu công chính và ghét gian tà,
Nên Ðức Chúa Trời, Thần của người, đã xức dầu cho người bằng dầu vui mừng để lập người trên các đồng bạn của người.
8 Vương bào của người tỏa ra mùi thơm của mộc dược, trầm hương, và nhục quế;
Trong cung điện bằng ngà, những nhạc khí bằng dây làm cho người vui vẻ.
9 Các công chúa của các vua là những thiếu nữ giữa vòng những người nữ quý phái của người;
Hoàng hậu đứng bên phải người thật diễm lệ trong y phục bằng vàng Ô-phia.
10 Hỡi ái nữ, hãy lắng nghe, hãy chú tâm và nghe cho kỹ:
Hãy quên dân tộc con và nhà cha con,
11 Ðể đức vua sẽ ái mộ nhan sắc của con,
Vì người là chúa của con, con hãy phủ phục trước mặt người.
12 Bấy giờ Ái Nữ của Ty-rơ sẽ đem lễ vật đến cho con;
Những người giàu sang trong dân sẽ đến cầu ơn con.
13 Ái nữ của đức vua thật lộng lẫy trong cung điện của nàng;
Áo nàng được dệt bằng vàng.
14 Khi nàng được đưa đến chầu đức vua, nàng mặc áo thêu nhiều màu tuyệt đẹp;
Các trinh nữ theo hầu nàng cũng được diện kiến đức vua.
15 Họ được đưa đi với lòng vui mừng hớn hở,
Khi họ được vào chầu trong cung điện của đức vua.
16 Các con trai của đức vua sẽ kế vị tổ tiên họ;
Ðức vua lập họ làm những lãnh tụ trên khắp nước.
17 Tôi sẽ làm cho danh người được ghi nhớ trải qua các đời,
Ðể các dân cảm tạ người đời đời mãi mãi.

1 My heart is stirred by a noble theme
as I recite my verses for the king;
my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.
2 You are the most excellent of men
and your lips have been anointed with grace,(B)
since God has blessed you forever.(C)
3 Gird your sword(D) on your side, you mighty one;(E)
clothe yourself with splendor and majesty.(F)
4 In your majesty ride forth victoriously(G)
in the cause of truth, humility and justice;(H)
let your right hand(I) achieve awesome deeds.(J)
5 Let your sharp arrows(K) pierce the hearts(L) of the king’s enemies;(M)
let the nations fall beneath your feet.
6 Your throne, O God,[c] will last for ever and ever;(N)
a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
7 You love righteousness(O) and hate wickedness;(P)
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing(Q) you with the oil of joy.(R)
8 All your robes are fragrant(S) with myrrh(T) and aloes(U) and cassia;(V)
from palaces adorned with ivory(W)
the music of the strings(X) makes you glad.
9 Daughters of kings(Y) are among your honored women;
at your right hand(Z) is the royal bride(AA) in gold of Ophir.(AB)
10 Listen, daughter,(AC) and pay careful attention:(AD)
Forget your people(AE) and your father’s house.
11 Let the king be enthralled by your beauty;(AF)
honor(AG) him, for he is your lord.(AH)
12 The city of Tyre(AI) will come with a gift,[d](AJ)
people of wealth will seek your favor.
13 All glorious(AK) is the princess within her chamber;
her gown is interwoven with gold.(AL)
14 In embroidered garments(AM) she is led to the king;(AN)
her virgin companions(AO) follow her—
those brought to be with her.
15 Led in with joy and gladness,(AP)
they enter the palace of the king.
16 Your sons will take the place of your fathers;
you will make them princes(AQ) throughout the land.

45 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
2 Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
8 All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
9 Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;
11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.
12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.
13 The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.
14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.
16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.
17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
