Lời phàn nàn về kẻ ác
10 CHÚA ôi, sao Ngài đứng xa?
Trong khi tôi gặp khốn khó,
sao Ngài lánh mặt đi?
2 Kẻ ác hung hăng rượt đuổi người khốn khổ.
Cầu cho chúng nó sập bẫy chúng giăng ra.
3 Chúng nó khoe khoang về lòng tham muốn mình.
Chúng chúc phước cho kẻ tham lam nhưng ghét Thượng Đế.
4 Kẻ ác quá sức kiêu căng.
Chúng không bao giờ tìm kiếm Thượng Đế.
Trong đầu chúng không có chỗ nào cho CHÚA.
5 Chúng luôn luôn thành công,
Sự xét đoán của CHÚA cao quá
điều hiểu biết của chúng;
chúng chế diễu kẻ thù mình.
6 Rồi tự nhủ, “Sẽ không có tai họa gì xảy đến cho ta;
ta sẽ chẳng bao giờ bị tàn hại.”
7 Môi miệng chúng nó đầy lời
chửi rủa, dối trá và đe dọa;
chúng dùng lưỡi mình để phạm tội và làm điều ác.
8 Chúng lẩn khuất ở các làng mạc,
tìm người vô tội để giết;
chúng núp nơi kín để bắt kẻ khốn cùng.
9 Chúng rình mò như sư tử rình mồi.
Chúng rình bắt kẻ nghèo;
chụp bắt kẻ khốn khó,
kéo họ vào trong lưới chúng.
10 Kẻ nghèo bị xô đẩy và giày đạp;
họ bị thua thiệt vì kẻ thù họ mạnh hơn.
11 Kẻ ác thầm nghĩ, “CHÚA đã quên chúng ta rồi.
Ngài không thấy gì hết.”
12 Lạy CHÚA, xin đứng dậy và ra tay.
Xin đừng quên kẻ khốn cùng.
13 Tại sao kẻ ác ghét CHÚA?
Chúng tự nhủ, “Thượng Đế sẽ không trừng phạt chúng ta đâu.”
14 Lạy CHÚA, Ngài hẳn đã thấy những điều hung bạo và gian ác nầy;
xin nhìn đến và ra tay.
Những kẻ khốn cùng trông cậy Ngài giúp đỡ.
Ngài là Đấng cứu giúp kẻ mồ côi.
15 Xin bẻ gãy quyền lực kẻ ác.
Xin trừng phạt tội phạm của chúng cho đến khi không còn điều ác nào.
16 CHÚA làm vua đến đời đời.
Ngài đã tiêu diệt các dân ngoại quốc khỏi mặt đất.
17 Lạy CHÚA, Ngài đã nghe nguyện vọng kẻ nghèo.
Xin đáp lời họ van xin
và nghe tiếng kêu cầu của họ.
18 Xin bảo vệ kẻ mồ côi,
kéo họ ra khỏi cảnh khốn khổ
để họ không còn sợ kẻ ác nữa.

2 In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak,(C)
who are caught in the schemes he devises.
3 He boasts(D) about the cravings of his heart;
he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.(E)
4 In his pride the wicked man does not seek him;
in all his thoughts there is no room for God.(F)
5 His ways are always prosperous;
your laws are rejected by[b] him;
he sneers at all his enemies.
6 He says to himself, “Nothing will ever shake me.”
He swears, “No one will ever do me harm.”(G)
7 His mouth is full(H) of lies and threats;(I)
trouble and evil are under his tongue.(J)
8 He lies in wait(K) near the villages;
from ambush he murders the innocent.(L)
His eyes watch in secret for his victims;
9 like a lion in cover he lies in wait.
He lies in wait to catch the helpless;(M)
he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.(N)
10 His victims are crushed,(O) they collapse;
they fall under his strength.
11 He says to himself, “God will never notice;(P)
he covers his face and never sees.”(Q)
12 Arise,(R) Lord! Lift up your hand,(S) O God.
Do not forget the helpless.(T)
13 Why does the wicked man revile God?(U)
Why does he say to himself,
“He won’t call me to account”?(V)
14 But you, God, see the trouble(W) of the afflicted;
you consider their grief and take it in hand.
The victims commit themselves to you;(X)
you are the helper(Y) of the fatherless.
15 Break the arm of the wicked man;(Z)
call the evildoer to account for his wickedness
that would not otherwise be found out.
16 The Lord is King for ever and ever;(AA)
the nations(AB) will perish from his land.
17 You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted;(AC)
you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,(AD)
18 defending the fatherless(AE) and the oppressed,(AF)
so that mere earthly mortals
will never again strike terror.

10 ¿Por qué, oh Señor, te mantienes alejado(A),
Y te escondes(B) en tiempos de tribulación?
2 Con arrogancia el impío acosa al afligido(C);
¡Que sea atrapado en las trampas que ha preparado(D)!
3 ¶Porque del deseo de su corazón(E) se gloría el impío(F),
Y el codicioso maldice y desprecia al Señor(G).
4 El impío, en la arrogancia de su rostro, no busca a Dios(H).
Todo su pensamiento es: «No hay Dios(I)».
5 ¶Sus caminos prosperan en todo tiempo(J);
Tus juicios, oh Dios, están en lo alto, lejos de su vista(K);
A todos sus adversarios los desprecia.
6 Dice en su corazón: «No hay quien me mueva(L);
Por todas las generaciones no sufriré adversidad(M)».
7 Llena está su boca de blasfemia(N), engaño y opresión(O);
Bajo su lengua hay malicia e iniquidad(P).
8 Se sienta al acecho en las aldeas(Q),
En los escondrijos mata al inocente(R);
Sus ojos espían al desvalido(S).
9 Acecha en el escondrijo como león en su guarida(T);
Acecha(U) para atrapar al afligido(V),
Y atrapa al afligido arrastrándolo a su red(W).
10 Se agazapa, se encoge,
Y los desdichados caen en sus garras.
11 El impío dice en su corazón: «Dios se ha olvidado;
Ha escondido Su rostro; nunca verá nada(X)».
12 ¶Levántate, oh Señor; alza, oh Dios, Tu mano(Y).
No te olvides de los pobres(Z).
13 ¿Por qué ha despreciado el impío a Dios(AA)?
Ha dicho en su corazón: «Tú no le pedirás cuentas».
14 Tú lo has visto, porque has contemplado la malicia y el maltrato(AB), para hacer justicia con Tu mano.
A Ti se acoge el desvalido(AC);
Tú has sido amparo del huérfano(AD).
15 Quiébrale el brazo al impío y al malvado(AE);
Persigue su maldad hasta que desaparezca(AF).
16 ¶El Señor es Rey eternamente y para siempre(AG);
Las naciones han perecido de Su tierra(AH).
17 Oh Señor, Tú has oído el deseo de los humildes(AI);
Tú fortalecerás su corazón(AJ) e inclinarás Tu oído(AK)
18 Para hacer justicia al huérfano(AL) y al afligido(AM);
Para que no vuelva a causar terror el hombre que es de la tierra(AN).

10 Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?
2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the Lord abhorreth.
4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
5 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
6 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.
7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.
9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.
10 He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.
11 He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.
12 Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble.
13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.
14 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.
15 Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.
16 The Lord is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.
17 Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:
18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.
