Tehillim 61

61 (For the one directing. With stringed instruments. Of Dovid). Hear my cry, Elohim; attend unto my tefillah.

²⁽³⁾From the end of ha’aretz will I call unto Thee, when my lev is overwhelmed; lead me to the Tzur that is higher than I.

³⁽⁴⁾For Thou hast been a refuge for me, and a migdal oz (tower of strength) from the enemy.

⁴⁽⁵⁾I will abide in Thy ohel forever; I will take refuge in the covert of Thy wings. Selah.

⁵⁽⁶⁾For Thou, Elohim, hast heard my nederim; Thou hast given me the yerushat yirei Shemecha (inheritance of those that fear Thy Name).

⁶⁽⁷⁾Thou wilt prolong days of the Melech, and his shanot dor vador.

⁷⁽⁸⁾He shall abide before Elohim forever; O appoint chesed and emes, to preserve him.

⁸⁽⁹⁾So will I sing praise unto Shimecha forever, that I may yom yom (daily) perform my nederim.

Lead Me to the Rock

To the choirmaster: with ^(A)stringed instruments. Of David.

61 Hear my cry, O God,
    ^(B)listen to my prayer;
²from the end of the earth I call to you
    when my heart is ^(C)faint.
Lead me to ^(D)the rock
    that is higher than I,
³for you have been ^(E)my refuge,
    a strong ^(F)tower against the enemy.

⁴Let me ^(G)dwell in your tent forever!
Let me take refuge under ^(H)the shelter of your wings! Selah
⁵For you, O God, have heard my vows;
you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.

⁶^(I)Prolong ^(J)the life of the king;
may his years endure to all generations!
⁷May he be enthroned forever before God;
appoint ^(K)steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him!

⁸So will I ever sing praises to your name,
as I ^(L)perform my vows day after day.

    a strong tower against the foe.^(F)

⁴I long to dwell^(G) in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.^[b]^(H)
⁵For you, God, have heard my vows;^(I)
you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.^(J)

⁶Increase the days of the king’s life,^(K)
his years for many generations.^(L)
⁷May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever;^(M)
appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.^(N)

⁸Then I will ever sing in praise of your name^(O)
and fulfill my vows day after day.^(P)
