Psalm 101

Of David. A psalm.

I will sing of your love(A) and justice;
    to you, Lord, I will sing praise.
I will be careful to lead a blameless life(B)
    when will you come to me?

I will conduct the affairs(C) of my house
    with a blameless heart.
I will not look with approval
    on anything that is vile.(D)

I hate what faithless people do;(E)
    I will have no part in it.
The perverse of heart(F) shall be far from me;
    I will have nothing to do with what is evil.

Whoever slanders their neighbor(G) in secret,
    I will put to silence;
whoever has haughty eyes(H) and a proud heart,
    I will not tolerate.

My eyes will be on the faithful in the land,
    that they may dwell with me;
the one whose walk is blameless(I)
    will minister to me.

No one who practices deceit
    will dwell in my house;
no one who speaks falsely
    will stand in my presence.

Every morning(J) I will put to silence
    all the wicked(K) in the land;
I will cut off every evildoer(L)
    from the city of the Lord.(M)

I Will Walk with Integrity

A Psalm of David.

101 I will sing of (A)steadfast love and justice;
    to you, O Lord, I will make music.
I will (B)ponder the way (C)that is blameless.
    Oh when will you (D)come to me?
I will (E)walk with (F)integrity of heart
    within my house;
I will not set before my eyes
    anything (G)that is worthless.
I hate the work of those who (H)fall away;
    it shall not cling to me.
(I)A perverse heart shall be far from me;
    I will (J)know nothing of evil.

Whoever slanders his neighbor (K)secretly
    I will (L)destroy.
Whoever has a (M)haughty look and an (N)arrogant heart
    I will not endure.

I will look with favor on the faithful in the land,
    that they may dwell with me;
he who walks in (O)the way that is blameless
    shall minister to me.

No one who (P)practices deceit
    shall dwell in my house;
no one who utters lies
    shall (Q)continue before my eyes.

(R)Morning by morning I will destroy
    all the wicked in the land,
(S)cutting off all (T)the evildoers
    from (U)the city of the Lord.

Psalm 101

Ein Psalm Davids.

Von Gnade und Recht will ich singen;
dir, Herr, will ich spielen!

Ich will achthaben auf den vollkommenen Weg.[a]
Wann wirst du zu mir kommen?
Ich will mit lauterem Herzen wandeln
im Innern meines Hauses.

Ich will nichts Schändliches[b] vor meine Augen stellen;
das Tun der Abtrünnigen hasse ich,
es soll mir nicht anhaften!

Ein verkehrtes Herz soll von mir weichen;
von Bösem will ich nichts wissen![c]

Wer seinen Nächsten heimlich verleumdet,
den will ich vertilgen;

sie sollen bei mir wohnen;
wer auf unsträflichem Weg wandelt,
der soll mir dienen.

In meinem Haus soll keiner wohnen, der Betrug verübt;

Canterò la bontà e la giustizia;

a te, o Signore, salmeggerò.

Avrò cura di camminare nell’integrità;

quando verrai a me?

Non mi proporrò nessuna cosa malvagia;

detesto il comportamento dei perversi;

non mi lascerò contagiare.

Allontanerò da me il cuore perverso;

il malvagio non voglio conoscerlo.

Sterminerò chi sparla del suo prossimo in segreto;

Avrò gli occhi sui fedeli del paese per tenerli vicini a me;

Chi agisce con inganno non abiterà nella mia casa;

101 I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord, will I sing.

I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the Lord.
