Song of Songs 2:3-7
New International Version
She
3 Like an apple[a] tree among the trees of the forest
is my beloved(A) among the young men.
I delight(B) to sit in his shade,
and his fruit is sweet to my taste.(C)
4 Let him lead me to the banquet hall,(D)
and let his banner(E) over me be love.
5 Strengthen me with raisins,
refresh me with apples,(F)
for I am faint with love.(G)
6 His left arm is under my head,
and his right arm embraces me.(H)
7 Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you(I)
by the gazelles and by the does of the field:
Do not arouse or awaken love
until it so desires.(J)

Song of Songs 8:3-7

3 His left arm is under my head
and his right arm embraces me.(A)
4 Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you:
Do not arouse or awaken love

Friends
5 Who is this coming up from the wilderness(C)
leaning on her beloved?
She
Under the apple tree I roused you;
there your mother conceived(D) you,
there she who was in labor gave you birth.
6 Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love(E) is as strong as death,
its jealousy[a](F) unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame.[b]
7 Many waters cannot quench love;
rivers cannot sweep it away.
If one were to give
all the wealth of one’s house for love,
it[c] would be utterly scorned.(G)
