³ Your lips are like ^(A)a scarlet thread,
    and your mouth is ^(B)lovely.
Your ^(C)cheeks are like halves of a pomegranate
    ^(D)behind your veil.
⁴ Your ^(E)neck is like the tower of David,
    built in ^(F)rows of stone;^[a]
on it ^(G)hang a thousand shields,
    all of ^(H)them shields of warriors.
⁵ Your ^(I)two breasts are like two ^(J)fawns,
    twins of a gazelle,
    that ^(K)graze among the lilies.
^6 (L)Until the day breathes
    and the shadows flee,
I will go away to the mountain of ^(M)myrrh
    and the hill of ^(N)frankincense.
^7 (O)You are altogether beautiful, my love;
    there is no ^(P)flaw in you.
