2 M Like a lily among thorns,
so is my darling among the young women.
3 W Like an apricot[d] tree among the trees of the forest,
so is my love among the young men.
I delight to sit in his shade,
and his fruit is sweet to my taste.
4 He brought me to the banquet hall,[e](B)
and he looked on me with love.[f](C)
5 Sustain me with raisins;
refresh me with apricots,[g]
for I am lovesick.(D)
6 His left hand is under my head,
and his right arm embraces me.[h](E)
7 Young women of Jerusalem, I charge you
by the gazelles and the wild does of the field:
do not stir up or awaken love
until the appropriate time.[i](F)
8 Listen! My love is approaching.
Look! Here he comes,
leaping over the mountains,(G)
bounding over the hills.
9 My love is like a gazelle
or a young stag.(H)
Look, he is standing behind our wall,
gazing through the windows,
peering through the lattice.
10 My love calls to me:
M Arise,(I) my darling.
Come away, my beautiful one.
11 For now the winter is past;
the rain has ended and gone away.
12 The blossoms appear in the countryside.
The time of singing[j] has come,
and the turtledove’s cooing is heard in our land.(J)
13 The fig tree ripens its figs;(K)
the blossoming vines give off their fragrance.(L)
Arise, my darling.
Come away, my beautiful one.
14 My dove,(M) in the clefts of the rock,(N)
in the crevices of the cliff,
let me see your face,[k]
let me hear your voice;(O)
for your voice is sweet,
and your face is lovely.(P)
15 (W) Catch the foxes for us(Q)—
the little foxes that ruin the vineyards—
for our vineyards are in bloom.(R)
16 W My love is mine and I am his;(S)
he feeds among the lilies.
17 Before the day breaks[l]
and the shadows flee,
turn to me, my love, and be like a gazelle

2 Yo soy el Lirio del campo (de Sarón), y la rosa de los valles.
2 Como el lirio entre las espinas, así es mi amiga entre las doncellas.
3 Como el manzano entre los árboles silvestres, así es mi amado entre los hijos; bajo su sombra deseé sentarme, y su fruto fue dulce a mi paladar.
4 Me llevó a la cámara del vino, y puso su estandarte de amor sobre mí.
5 Sustentadme con frascos de vino, esforzadme con manzanas; porque estoy enferma de amor.
6 Su izquierda esté debajo de mi cabeza, y su derecha me abrace.
7 Yo os conjuro, oh doncellas de Jerusalén, por las gamas y por las ciervas del campo, que no despertéis ni hagáis velar al amor hasta que él quiera.
8 ¡La voz de mi amado! He aquí él viene saltando sobre los montes, brincando sobre los collados.
9 Mi amado es semejante al gamo, o al cabrito de los ciervos. Helo aquí, está tras nuestra pared, mirando {Heb. floreciendo} por las ventanas, mostrándose por las rejas.
10 Mi amado habló, y me dijo: Levántate, oh compañera mía, hermosa mía, y vente.
11 Porque he aquí ha pasado el invierno, se ha mudado, la lluvia se fue;
12 se han mostrado las flores en la tierra, el tiempo de la canción es venido, y en nuestra tierra se ha oído la voz de la tórtola;
13 la higuera ha echado sus higos, y las vides en cierne dieron olor; levántate, oh compañera mía, hermosa mía, y vente.
14 Paloma mía, que estás en los agujeros de la peña, en lo escondido de la escalera, muéstrame tu vista, hazme oír tu voz; porque tu voz es dulce, y tu vista hermosa.
15 Cazadnos las zorras, las zorras pequeñas, que echan a perder las viñas; porque nuestras viñas están en cierne.
16 Mi amado es mío, y yo suya; él apacienta entre lirios.
17 Hasta que apunte el día, y huyan las sombras, vuélvete, amado mío; sé semejante al gamo, o al cabrito de los ciervos, sobre los montes de Beter.

7 Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you(L)
by the gazelles and by the does of the field:
Do not arouse or awaken love
until it so desires.(M)
8 Listen! My beloved!
Look! Here he comes,
leaping across the mountains,
bounding over the hills.(N)
