7 You are stately[a] as a palm tree,
and your breasts are like its clusters.
8 I said, “I will climb the palm tree
and lay hold of its branches.”
O may your breasts be like clusters of the vine,
and the scent of your breath like apples,(A)
9 and your kisses[b] like the best wine
that goes down[c] smoothly,
gliding over lips and teeth.[d]

7 Your stature[a] is like a palm tree,
and your breasts are like clusters of fruit.[b]
8 I told myself, “I’ll go up the palm tree,
and take hold of its fruit.
May your breasts be like clusters of the vine,[c]
and the smell of your breath like apples.[d]
9 May your mouth[e] be like good wine.
