⁴You are beautiful as ^(A)Tirzah, ^(B)my love,
    ^(C)lovely as ^(D)Jerusalem,
    ^(E)awesome as an army with banners.
⁵Turn away your eyes from me,
    for they overwhelm me—
^(F)Your hair is like a flock of goats
    leaping down the slopes of Gilead.
⁶^(G)Your teeth are like a flock of ewes
    that have come up from the washing;
all of them bear twins;
    not one among them has lost its young.
⁷^(H)Your cheeks are like halves of a pomegranate
    behind your veil.
⁸There are ^(I)sixty ^(J)queens and eighty ^(K)concubines,
    and ^(L)virgins without number.
⁹My ^(M)dove, my ^(N)perfect one, is the only one,
    the only one of her mother,
    pure to ^(O)her who bore her.
^(P)The young women saw her and called her blessed;
    ^(Q)the queens and ^(R)concubines also, and they praised her.

¹⁰^(S)“Who is this who looks down like the dawn,
beautiful as the moon, bright as the sun,

As ^(C)lovely as ^(D)Jerusalem,
As ^(E)awesome as an army with banners.
⁵Turn your eyes away from me,
For they have confused me;
^(F)Your hair is like a flock of goats
That have descended from Gilead.
⁶^(G)Your teeth are like a flock of ewes
That have come up from their watering place,
All of which bear twins,
And not one among them has lost her young.
⁷^(H)Your temples are like a slice of a pomegranate
Behind your veil.
⁸There are sixty ^(I)queens and eighty concubines,
And ^[a]^(J)young women without number;
⁹But ^(K)my dove, my perfect one, is ^[b]unique:
She is her mother’s ^[c]only daughter;
She is the pure child of the one who gave birth to her.
