10 “My beloved answered and said to me,
‘(A)Arise, my darling, my beautiful one,
And come along.
11 For behold, the winter is past,
The rain is over; it is gone.
12 The flowers have appeared in the land;
The time for [a]pruning has arrived;
And the voice of the (B)turtledove has been heard in our land.
13 The (C)fig tree has ripened its figs,
And the (D)vines in blossom have given forth their fragrance.
Arise, my darling, my beautiful one,
And come along!’”

Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
11 For, lo, the winter is past;
The rain is over and gone;
12 The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of the [a]singing of birds is come,
And the voice of the turtle-dove is heard in our land;
13 The fig-tree ripeneth her green figs,
And the vines are in blossom;
They give forth their fragrance.
Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

the cooing of doves
is heard in our land.
13 The fig tree forms its early fruit;(A)
