9 “To a (A)mare of mine among the chariots of Pharaoh
I compare you, O (B)my darling.
10 Your (C)cheeks are lovely with ornaments,
Your neck with strings of [a](D)beads.”
11 “[b]We will make for you ornaments of gold
With beads of silver.”
12 “[c]While the king was at his [d]banqueting table,
My [e](E)perfume gave forth its fragrance.
13 My beloved is to me a pouch of (F)myrrh
Which lies all night between my breasts.
14 My beloved is to me a cluster of (G)henna blossoms
In the vineyards of (H)Engedi.”

12 While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof.
13 A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts.
14 My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of Engedi.
