Song of Solomon 1:5-6
New American Standard Bible
The Bride
5 “I am black and (A)beautiful,
You (B)daughters of Jerusalem,
Like the (C)tents of (D)Kedar,
Like the curtains of Solomon.
6 Do not stare at me because I am [a]dark,
For the sun has tanned me.
My (E)mother’s sons were angry with me;
They made me (F)caretaker of the vineyards,
But I have not taken care of my own vineyard.
