^18 (A)Behold, when we come into the land, you shall tie this scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, ^(B)and you shall gather into your house your father and mother, your brothers, and all your father's household.

¹⁹ For when every commandment of the law had been declared by Moses to all the people, he took ^(A)the blood of calves and goats, ^(B)with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,

⁶ Let your speech always ^(A)be gracious, ^(B)seasoned with salt, ^(C)so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

¹⁶ Let ^(A)the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, ^(B)singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, ^(C)with thankfulness in your hearts to God. ¹⁷ And ^(D)whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, ^(E)giving thanks to God the Father through him.

^29 (A)Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give ^(B)grace to those who hear.

¹⁸ All this is from God, ^(A)who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us ^(B)the ministry of reconciliation; ¹⁹ that is, in Christ God was reconciling^[a] the world to himself, ^(C)not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us ^(D)the message of reconciliation. ²⁰ Therefore, ^(E)we are ambassadors for Christ, ^(F)God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. ^21 (G)For our sake he made him to be sin ^(H)who knew no sin, so that in him we might become ^(I)the righteousness of God.

²² And all spoke well of him and marveled at ^(A)the gracious words that were coming from his mouth. And they said, ^(B)“Is not this ^(C)Joseph's son?”

^35 (A)The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil.

⁶³ that you may remember and be confounded, and ^(A)never open your mouth again because of your shame, when I atone for you for all that you have done, declares the Lord God.”
