¹⁰ And ^(A)I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ^(B)“See that you do not do that! I am your ^(C)fellow servant, and of your brethren ^(D)who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the ^(E)testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

¹⁰ Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, ¹¹ searching what, or what manner of time, ^(A)the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. ¹² To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to ^[a]us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which ^(B)angels desire to look into.

Hold Fast Your Confession

¹⁹ Therefore, brethren, having ^(A)boldness^[a] to enter ^(B)the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by a new and ^(C)living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,

Animal Sacrifices Insufficient

10 For the law, having a ^(A)shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, ^(B)can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.

⁸ the Holy Spirit indicating this, that ^(A)the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. ⁹ It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered ^(B)which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience—

^17 (A)which are a shadow of things to come, but the ^[a]substance is of Christ.

Christ Our Peace

¹⁴ For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, ¹⁵ having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one ^(A)new man from the two, thus making peace,

¹³ unlike Moses, ^(A)who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at ^(B)the end of what was passing away. ¹⁴ But ^(C)their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. ¹⁵ But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. ¹⁶ Nevertheless ^(D)when one turns to the Lord, ^(E)the veil is taken away. ¹⁷ Now ^(F)the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is ^(G)liberty. ¹⁸ But we all, with unveiled face, beholding ^(H)as in a mirror ^(I)the glory of the Lord, ^(J)are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as ^[a]by the Spirit of the Lord.

¹² For ^(A)now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then ^(B)face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
