¹¹ I adorned you with ornaments, ^(A)put bracelets on your wrists, ^(B)and a chain on your neck. ¹² And I put a ^[a]jewel in your nose, earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head. ¹³ Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was of fine linen, silk, and embroidered cloth. ^(C)You ate pastry of fine flour, honey, and oil. You were exceedingly ^(D)beautiful, and succeeded to royalty.

⁴ rather let it be ^(A)the hidden person of the heart, with the ^[a]incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

⁴⁷ Then I asked her, and said, ‘Whose daughter are you?’ And she said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bore to him.’ So I put the nose ring on her nose and the bracelets on her wrists.

³ as His ^(A)divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him ^(B)who called us by glory and virtue, ^4 (C)by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be ^(D)partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the ^[a]corruption that is in the world through lust.

⁵⁰ Therefore we have brought an offering for the Lord, what every man found of ornaments of gold: armlets and bracelets and signet rings and earrings and necklaces, ^(A)to make ^[a]atonement for ourselves before the Lord.”

⁴² Then Pharaoh ^(A)took his signet ring off his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand; and he ^(B)clothed him in garments of fine linen ^(C)and put a gold chain around his neck.
