^11 (A)And I adorned you with ornaments and ^(B)put bracelets on your wrists and a chain on your neck. ¹² And I put a ring on your nose and earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown on your head. ¹³ Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was of fine linen and silk and embroidered cloth. ^(C)You ate fine flour and honey and oil. ^(D)You grew exceedingly beautiful and advanced to royalty.

⁴ but let your adorning be ^(A)the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.

⁴⁷ Then I asked her, ‘Whose daughter are you?’ She said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bore to him.’ ^(A)So I put the ring on her nose and the bracelets on her arms.

³ His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him ^(A)who called us to^[a] his own glory and excellence,^{[b] 4} by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become ^(B)partakers of the divine nature, ^(C)having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

¹⁸ In that day the Lord will take away ^(A)the finery of the anklets, the ^(B)headbands, and the ^(C)crescents; ¹⁹ the pendants, the bracelets, and the scarves; ²⁰ the ^(D)headdresses, the armlets, the sashes, the perfume boxes, and the amulets; ²¹ the signet rings and ^(E)nose rings;

⁵⁰ And we have brought the Lord's offering, what each man found, articles of gold, armlets and bracelets, signet rings, earrings, and beads, ^(A)to make atonement for ourselves before the Lord.”

⁴² Then Pharaoh ^(A)took his signet ring from his hand and put it on Joseph's hand, and ^(B)clothed him in garments of fine linen ^(C)and put a gold chain about his neck.

²² When the camels had finished drinking, the man took a gold ring weighing a half shekel,^[a] and two bracelets for her arms weighing ten gold shekels,
