Salmo de Asaf.
82 Dios preside el consejo celestial;
entre los dioses dicta sentencia:
2 «¿Hasta cuándo juzgarán injustamente
y favorecerán a los malvados? Selah
3 Defiendan la causa del débil y del huérfano;
háganles justicia al pobre y al oprimido.
4 Salven al débil y al necesitado;
líbrenlos de la mano de los malvados.
5 »Ellos no saben nada, no entienden nada.
Deambulan en la oscuridad;
se estremecen todos los cimientos de la tierra.
6 »Yo les he dicho: “Ustedes son dioses;
todos ustedes son hijos del Altísimo”.
7 Pero morirán como cualquier mortal;
caerán como cualquier otro gobernante».
8 Levántate, oh Dios, y juzga a la tierra,
pues tuyas son todas las naciones.

2 “How long will you[a] defend the unjust
and show partiality(C) to the wicked?[b](D)
3 Defend the weak and the fatherless;(E)
uphold the cause of the poor(F) and the oppressed.
4 Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.
5 “The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing.(G)
They walk about in darkness;(H)
all the foundations(I) of the earth are shaken.

82 En psalm av Asaf. Gud står i gudaförsamlingen, mitt ibland gudarna håller han dom:
2 »Huru länge skolen I döma orätt och vara partiska för de ogudaktiga? Sela.
3 Skaffen den arme och faderlöse rätt, given den betryckte och torftige rättvisa.
4 Befrien den arme och fattige, rädden honom från de ogudaktigas hand.
5 Men de veta intet och hava intet förstånd, de vandra i mörker; jordens alla grundvalar vackla.
6 Jag har väl sagt att I ären gudar och allasammans den Högstes söner;
7 men I måsten dock dö, såsom människor dö, och falla, likaväl som var furste faller.»
8 Ja, stå upp, o Gud; håll dom över jorden, ty med arvsrätt råder du över alla folk.
