Salmos 59
La Palabra (Hispanoamérica)
Salmo 59 (58)
Dios mío, líbrame de mis enemigos
59 Al maestro del coro. Según “No destruyas”. Poema de David. Cuando Saúl envió a vigilar su casa para matarlo.
2 Dios mío, líbrame de mis enemigos,
protégeme de mis agresores;
3 líbrame de los malhechores,
sálvame de los sanguinarios
4 que están acechando mi vida.
Me atacan, Señor, los poderosos
sin que yo haya cometido falta ni pecado;
5 corren y se preparan contra mí
sin que yo tenga culpa alguna.
¡Despierta, sal a mi encuentro, mírame!
6 Tú, Señor, Dios del universo, Dios de Israel,
decídete a castigar a las naciones,
no te apiades de ningún traidor. [ Pausa]
7 Al atardecer regresan,
aúllan como perros,
rondan por la ciudad.
8 Mira, ladran con sus bocas,
hay espadas en sus labios:
“¿Quién puede oírnos?”.
9 Pero tú, Señor, te ríes de ellos,
te burlas de todas las naciones.
10 Fuerza mía, en ti espero
porque tú eres, oh Dios, mi refugio.
11 El Dios de bondad me acogerá,
Dios hará que vea a mis rivales derrotados.
12 No los mates, no sea que mi pueblo los olvide;
dispérsalos con tu poder y humíllalos,
tú, mi Señor, que eres nuestro escudo.
13 Es pecadora su boca cuando hablan;
que sean presos de su propia soberbia,
de las maldiciones y mentiras que lanzan.
14 Destrúyelos con tu ira; que no quede ninguno
para que sepan que Dios domina en Jacob,
hasta los confines de la tierra. [ Pausa]
15 Al atardecer regresan,
aúllan como perros,
rondan por la ciudad.
16 Vagabundean buscando comida,
gruñen si no quedan saciados.
17 Pero yo cantaré tu poder,
al alba aclamaré tu amor,
porque tú eres mi refugio,
mi fortaleza en la angustia.
18 Fuerza mía, a ti te canto,
porque Dios es mi refugio,
él es el Dios que me ama.
Psalm 59
New King James Version
The Assured Judgment of the Wicked
To the Chief Musician. Set to [a]“Do Not Destroy.” A Michtam of David (A)when Saul sent men, and they watched the house in order to kill him.
59 Deliver me from my enemies, O my God;
[b]Defend me from those who rise up against me.
2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity,
And save me from bloodthirsty men.
3 For look, they lie in wait for my life;
(B)The mighty gather against me,
Not for my transgression nor for my sin, O Lord.
4 They run and prepare themselves through no fault of mine.
(C)Awake to help me, and behold!
5 You therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel,
Awake to punish all the [c]nations;
Do not be merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah
6 (D)At evening they return,
They growl like a dog,
And go all around the city.
7 Indeed, they belch with their mouth;
(E)Swords are in their lips;
For they say, (F)“Who hears?”
8 But (G)You, O Lord, shall laugh at them;
You shall have all the [d]nations in derision.
9 I will wait for You, O You [e]his Strength;
(H)For God is my [f]defense.
10 [g]My God of mercy shall (I)come to meet me;
God shall let (J)me see my desire on my enemies.
11 Do not slay them, lest my people forget;
Scatter them by Your power,
And bring them down,
O Lord our shield.
12 (K)For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips,
Let them even be taken in their pride,
And for the cursing and lying which they speak.
13 (L)Consume them in wrath, consume them,
That they may not be;
And (M)let them know that God rules in Jacob
To the ends of the earth. Selah
14 And (N)at evening they return,
They growl like a dog,
And go all around the city.
15 They (O)wander up and down for food,
And [h]howl if they are not satisfied.
16 But I will sing of Your power;
Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning;
For You have been my defense
And refuge in the day of my trouble.
17 To You, (P)O my Strength, I will sing praises;
For God is my defense,
My God of mercy.

Psalm 59
New American Standard Bible 1995
Prayer for Deliverance from Enemies.
For the choir director; set to [a]Al-tashheth. A [b]Mikhtam of David, [c]when Saul sent men and they watched the house in order to kill him.
59 (A)Deliver me from my enemies, O my God;
[d](B)Set me securely on high away from those who rise up against me.
2 Deliver me from (C)those who do iniquity
And save me from (D)men of bloodshed.
3 For behold, they (E)have [e]set an ambush for my [f]life;
[g]Fierce men [h](F)launch an attack against me,
(G)Not for my transgression nor for my sin, O Lord,
4 [i](H)For no guilt of mine, they run and set themselves against me.
(I)Arouse Yourself to [j]help me, and see!
5 You, (J)O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel,
Awake to [k](K)punish all the nations;
(L)Do not be gracious to any who are treacherous in iniquity. [l]Selah.
6 They (M)return at evening, they howl like a (N)dog,
And go around the city.
7 Behold, they (O)belch forth with their mouth;
(P)Swords are in their lips,
For, they say, “(Q)Who hears?”
8 But You, O Lord, (R)laugh at them;
You (S)scoff at all the nations.
9 Because of [m]his (T)strength I will watch for You,
For God is my (U)stronghold.
10 [n]My God (V)in His lovingkindness will meet me;
God will let me (W)look triumphantly upon [o]my foes.
11 Do not slay them, (X)or my people will forget;
[p](Y)Scatter them by Your power, and bring them down,
O Lord, (Z)our shield.
12 [q]On account of the (AA)sin of their mouth and the words of their lips,
Let them even be (AB)caught in their pride,
And on account of (AC)curses and [r]lies which they utter.
13 [s](AD)Destroy them in wrath, [t]destroy them that they may be no more;
That men may (AE)know that God [u]rules in Jacob
To the ends of the earth. Selah.
14 They (AF)return at evening, they howl like a dog,
And go around the city.
15 They (AG)wander about [v]for food
And [w]growl if they are not satisfied.
16 But as for me, I shall (AH)sing of Your strength;
Yes, I shall (AI)joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the (AJ)morning,
For You have been my (AK)stronghold
And a (AL)refuge in the day of my distress.
17 (AM)O my strength, I will sing praises to You;
For God is my (AN)stronghold, the [x]God who shows me lovingkindness.
