47 Al Músico principal: de los hijos de Coré: Salmo. PUEBLOS todos, batid las manos; Aclamad á Dios con voz de júbilo.

2 Porque Jehová el Altísimo es terrible; Rey grande sobre toda la tierra.

3 El sujetará á los pueblos debajo de nosotros, Y á las gentes debajo de nuestros pies.

4 El nos elegirá nuestras heredades; La hermosura de Jacob, al cual amó. (Selah.)

5 Subió Dios con júbilo, Jehová con sonido de trompeta.

6 Cantad á Dios, cantad: Cantad á nuestro Rey, cantad.

7 Porque Dios es el Rey de toda la tierra: Cantad con inteligencia.

8 Reinó Dios sobre las gentes: Asentóse Dios sobre su santo trono.

9 Los príncipes de los pueblos se juntaron Al pueblo del Dios de Abraham: Porque de Dios son los escudos de la tierra; El es muy ensalzado.

47 (For the one directing. Of the Bnei Korach. A Mizmor.) O clap your hands, all ye nations; shout unto Elohim with the voice of joy.

2 (3) For Hashem Elyon is awesome; He is Melech Gadol over kol ha’aretz.

3 (4) He shall subdue the peoples under us, and the nations under our raglayim.

4 (5) He shall choose nachalateinu for us, the ga’on Ya’akov (pride, glory of Jacob) whom He loves. Selah.

5 (6) Elohim is ascended with a shout of joy, Hashem with the sound of a shofar.

6 (7) Sing praises to Elohim, sing praises; sing praises unto Malkeinu, sing praises.

7 (8) For Melech kol ha’aretz is He; sing ye praises with understanding.

8 (9) Elohim reigneth over the Goyim; Elohim sitteth upon the Kisse Kadsho.

9 (10) The princes of the nations are gathered together, even the Am Elohei Avraham; for the moginei Eretz (shields of the Earth) belong unto Elohim; He is greatly exalted.

47 1 The Prophet exhorteth all people to the worship of the true and everlasting God, commending the mercy of God toward the posterity of Jacob. 9 And after prophesieth of the kingdom of Christ in the time of the Gospel.

To him that excelleth. A Psalm committed to the sons of Korah.

1 All people [a]clap your hands; sing loud unto God with a joyful voice.

2 For the Lord is high, and terrible; a great King over all the earth.

3 He hath [b]subdued the people under us, and the nations under our feet.

4 He hath chosen [c]our inheritance for us: even the glory of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

5 God is gone up with triumph, even the Lord with the [d]sound of the trumpet.

6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

7 For God is the king of all the earth: sing praises everyone that hath [e]understanding.

8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon his holy Throne.

9 The princes of the people are gathered unto the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the world belong to God: he [f]is greatly to be exalted.

  3. Psalm 47:4 God hath chosen us above all other nations, to enjoy a most glorious inheritance.
  4. Psalm 47:5 He doth allude unto the trumpets, that were blown at solemn feasts: but he doth further signify the triumph of Christ and his glorious ascension into the heavens.
  5. Psalm 47:7 He requireth that understanding be joined with singing, lest the Name of God be profaned with vain crying.
  6. Psalm 47:9 He praiseth God’s highness, for that he joineth the great princes of the world (whom he calleth shields) to the fellowship of his Church.

1 Clap your hands,(A) all you nations;
    shout to God with cries of joy.(B)

2 For the Lord Most High(C) is awesome,(D)
    the great King(E) over all the earth.
3 He subdued(F) nations under us,
    peoples under our feet.
4 He chose our inheritance(G) for us,
    the pride of Jacob,(H) whom he loved.[b]

5 God has ascended(I) amid shouts of joy,(J)
    the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.(K)
6 Sing praises(L) to God, sing praises;
    sing praises to our King, sing praises.
7 For God is the King of all the earth;(M)
    sing to him a psalm(N) of praise.

8 God reigns(O) over the nations;
    God is seated on his holy throne.(P)
9 The nobles of the nations assemble
    as the people of the God of Abraham,
for the kings[c] of the earth belong to God;(Q)
    he is greatly exalted.(R)
